En la actualidad, la inteligencia artificial está en boca de todos y es fuente de no pocos debates. Sin embargo, no se puede negar que su implementación ha supuesto un verdadero revulsivo para el campo de la informática y que, poco a poco, se está consolidando como una de las especializaciones más valiosas de cara a un futuro cercano. Y es que, a medida que las empresas se deciden a adoptar esta tecnología, la demanda de profesionales con habilidades relacionadas con la IA crece de forma exponencial. Es por eso que, en estos instantes, estudiar inteligencia artificial se ha convertido en una de las mejores decisiones a largo plazo que podemos tomar, especialmente si somos profesionales de la informática.
El uso de la IA ya está más que extendido en numerosos ámbitos de nuestro día a día. Por eso, ahora también se necesitan profesionales capacitados en dicho campo. Ante esta realidad, hemos de tener en cuenta que, a pesar de que solo el 21 % de las personas que trabajan con IA cuentan con una especialización formal, aquellos que disponen de formación específica son, precisamente, quienes acceden más deprisa a trabajos altamente especializados y, por lo tanto, mejor remunerados.
La formación relacionada con la IA, pues, no solo nos permite adaptarnos a las nuevas tendencias, sino que nos ofrecerá una clara ventaja competitiva en el mercado laboral. Y esto no solo se puede aplicar en el sector de la informática, porque, como ya hemos dicho, la nueva tecnología cuenta con aplicaciones en todos los ámbitos. Así, estamos hablando de una aplicación transversal y completa de la inteligencia artificial, algo que podemos observar en campos tan variados como el desarrollo de software, la ciberseguridad o la gestión de datos, donde su capacidad de gestionar el big data ha demostrado una gran utilidad.
Cuando se discute sobre la IA, suele salir a colación la posibilidad de que su aplicación termine por destruir empleos. No obstante, y a pesar de lo arraigadas que están estas creencias en determinados ámbitos, lo cierto es que la inteligencia artificial actual ya ha demostrado ser capaz de crear nuevos puestos de trabajo, solo que estos son más especializados.
Hay que tener en cuenta que las empresas necesitan, cada vez más, contar con expertos en IA capacitados para implementar y mantener sus sistemas. Y esto ha conducido a la creación de roles especializados. Analistas de datos o ingenieros de prompts, por ejemplo, son puestos que están en aumento, y lo mismo ocurre con los roles de experto legal en IA.
Por todo lo que hemos visto hasta ahora, podemos deducir que invertir en formación relacionada con la IA, así como en las certificaciones adecuadas, es algo que nos brindará numerosas ventajas. Más oportunidades de empleo, roles más interesantes y el acceso a salarios más altos son solo algunas de ellas. Asimismo, el hecho de mantenernos actualizados en lo que a tendencias y tecnología se refiere nos permitirá estar siempre a la vanguardia y contribuiremos al desarrollo de nuevas soluciones capaces de transformar la industria.
De lo que no cabe duda es de que la inteligencia artificial ha llegado para quedarse y, poco a poco, seguirá ganando terreno en todos los ámbitos, especialmente en el de la informática. Por eso, quienes decidan especializarse ahora en esta área contarán con la mejor posición para aprovechar las oportunidades laborales emergentes. No, la IA no destruye empleos; solo los transforma y, a su vez, crea otros que no existían hasta ahora.
