El 80% de las organizaciones en Europa prevén una disminución en los ingresos de 2020 como resultado de la pandemia, aunque el 48% prevé que el gasto en TI se mantenga o incluso supere al previsto al inicio de año, según IDC y Oracle.
En los últimos cinco meses se han dado profundos cambios en el mercado tecnológico que ha provocado que el 80% de las organizaciones en Europa prevean una disminución en los ingresos de 2020 como resultado de la pandemia, aunque el 48% prevé que el gasto en TI se mantenga o incluso supere al previsto al inicio de año. Como ha quedado patente en un webinar organizado recientemente por IDC Research España, de la mano de Oracle, se está apreciando una más que notable resiliencia en el modelo en la nube con un gasto SaaS mayor de lo esperado cercano al 31% en España.
De acuerdo con el trabajo de investigación desarrollado por IDC Research España, el 62% de las organizaciones de Europa Occidental esperan sostener o aumentar el gasto SaaS en 2020, cifra que alcanza el 73% en España.
“Efectivamente en nuestro país aumenta esta previsión ya que la tecnología multicloud ha mostrado sus bondades durante esta crisis, se ha puesto en valor y ha experimentado un fuerte empuje. Ha sido la base para el teletrabajo puesto que la mayor parte de las herramientas de colaboración están en cloud y ha dotado de cierta agilidad y flexibilidad a las organizaciones para poder dar continuidad de negocio” argumenta Ignacio Cobisa, Analista Senior de la consultora.
Crece el número de proveedores cloud multinube en las empresas
Según la encuesta de IDC Research España y Oracle, el porcentaje de empresas que cuentan con más de un proveedor de cloud no deja de aumentar. Así, las medianas empresas españolas gestionan de media 2,6 proveedores de cloud mientras que las grandes organizaciones apuestan por tres.
El gran motivo que mueve a las empresas a contratar a varios proveedores cloud es la optimización de las arquitecturas IT y entre sus principales beneficios se encuentran la optimización de costes y la capacidad de optar por proveedores especializados en un 56% en ambos casos. “Además el pago por uso ha significado que en muchos casos se haya podido recortar costes lo que ha supuesto una ventaja importante para muchas organizaciones”, apostilla Cobisa de IDC Research España.
Otro dato que resalta la investigación de ambas firmas es que el 73% de las organizaciones no tiene intención de modificar el número actual de proveedores, aunque sí se aprecia una predisposición a aumentarlo. Por otra parte, las medianas empresas muestran una mayor tendencia a cambiar de proveedores, un 17%, que las grandes con un 12%. “Son buenas noticias y dan idea de la evolución desde los primeros estadios de madurez del multicloud que ya empieza a generar valor en las organizaciones”, continua Ignacio Cobisa de IDC Research España.
Respecto a los retos técnicos o de gestión a los que se enfrentan las empresas al gestionar varios proveedores de cloud, sobresale la falta de interoperabilidad (45%) entre las corporaciones mientras que las medianas empresas conceden más importancia a los costes y al balanceo de las cargas de trabajo (37%). Si hablamos de retos de gobierno, únicamente preocupan a sectores fuertemente regulados como el financiero y las empresas públicas.
Finamente, la consultora IDC Research España considera muy significativo que sean los sectores tecnológicos, medios y telecomunicaciones los que en un mayor porcentaje contratan a más de un proveedor tanto en IaaS (62,5%), como en PaaS (50%) y SaaS (75%).
