Según el informe Accelerating Digital Agility de Cisco, durante 2021 y 2022 invertirán en aplicaciones cloud, seguridad de redes y en la nube, colaboración e infraestructura multi-cloud.
Implementar herramientas de colaboración seguras para mantener la productividad de la fuerza de trabajo híbrida, ofrecer la mejor experiencia de usuario a empleados y clientes, adoptar la nube ‘como servicio’ y gestionar las iniciativas corporativas internas y resolver los grandes problemas sociales con la tecnología. Estos son los principales retos para los departamentos de TI según el informe Accelerating Digital Agility de Cisco, que desvela cómo 23.000 CIO y responsables de la toma de decisiones tecnológicas de 34 países (incluido España, 1.002 consultados) pretenden maximizar las inversiones e impulsar la innovación para facilitar el éxito de negocio en los próximos 24 meses.
Principales conclusiones del estudio:
•Para tener éxito ante el futuro del trabajo híbrido, los empleados necesitan un acceso altamente seguro y las mejores experiencias de colaboración. En España, aunque el 66% de los CIO y responsables de la toma de decisiones tecnológicas no están seguros de cómo será el futuro del trabajo, nueve de cada diez creen que es esencial mantener la seguridad, el control y la monitorización en los dispositivos, las redes, las nubes y las aplicaciones. La mayoría (89%) consideran clave proporcionar a los trabajadores un acceso sencillo a las aplicaciones y experiencias de colaboración de alta calidad. Defender la mayor superficie de ciberataques resulta primordial: el 92% de los españoles señalan la importancia de proteger las herramientas de trabajo remoto y los datos de clientes y empleados.
•Los equipos de TI deben crear experiencias optimizadas para los usuarios finales. Más de tres cuartas partes (el 76%) de los consultados en España creen que la experiencia de usuario debe deleitar y no sólo satisfacer. Para ofrecer una gran experiencia de usuario, la inmensa mayoría consideran relevante garantizar un rendimiento consistente de las aplicaciones (90%) y lograr que la infraestructura sea tan dinámica como el software de la aplicación (90%). Nueve de cada diez consultados en España definen como importante o muy importante mantener la seguridad de la aplicación y alineada con la infraestructura para cumplir con las regulaciones.
•La necesidad de agilidad, velocidad, escalabilidad y seguridad está impulsando la adopción de entornos de nube híbrida y soluciones SASE (Secure Access Service Edge). Aunque la mayoría de CIO y responsables de la toma de decisiones tecnológicas en España (85%) creen importante ofrecer libertad de elección cuando se trata de entornos cloud (nube pública, nube privada o SaaS), el 86% consideran esencial mantener un modelo operativo consistente en todos estos entornos. Más de la mitad de los consultados (56%) han adoptado soluciones SASE porque utilizan aplicaciones Cloud que necesitan protegerse (59%), quieren estar al día en las mejores prácticas de la industria (55%) y/o su fuerza de trabajo va a permanecer distribuida (39%).
•Las organizaciones adoptan el modelo ‘como servicio’ (aaS), con independencia de que sus soluciones se desplieguen on-premise o en la nube. El 65% de los consultados en España utilizan modelos de consumo flexibles, y el 57% han adoptado soluciones aaS. Siete de cada diez encuestados creen que el modelo aaS ayudará a ofrecer una mejor experiencia para el usuario final y para los equipos de TI. Además, el 73% afirman que proporcionará mejores resultados empresariales, y el 72% esperan que las soluciones aaS simplifiquen procesos y eliminen riesgos.
•La tecnología será clave para retener el talento, gestionar las iniciativas corporativas internas y resolver los grandes problemas sociales. La mayoría de CIO y responsables de la toma de decisiones tecnológicas en España (87%) creen que la capacidad de atraer y retener el talento en el mundo digital será crítica. Casi la mitad (47%) afirman que van a empoderar el talento actual y a invertir en talento en nuevas áreas (41%) en los próximos 12 meses. La mayoría (el 85%) planean impulsar iniciativas internas en 2021, incluyendo la privacidad (47%), la sostenibilidad (45%), la salud mental de los empleados (40%) y la diversidad y la inclusión (40%). Además, el 80% abordarán cuestiones sociales externas, como: el cambio climático (38%), la brecha digital (34%), la atención sanitaria (33%), la desinformación o ‘fake news’ (28%), la justicia social (27%), los derechos humanos (27%), la pobreza, el hambre y la falta de vivienda (26%).
“Los responsables de TI son esenciales para asegurar el éxito de sus organizaciones en 2021”, destaca Liz Centoni, CSO y directora general de Aplicaciones en Cisco. “Aunque surgirán nuevos retos, los CIO y los responsables de la toma de decisiones tecnológicas necesitan acelerar la agilidad digital de sus equipos para que tengan la velocidad, la flexibilidad y la capacidad de elección necesarias a la hora de consumir los servicios tanto en entornos modernos como heredados”.
