Jorge Colomar, GM de SecuTix en España, comparte algunos datos, impresiones y perspectivas sobre el año pasado debido a la gran crisis económica y sanitaria que está sufriendo el país.
660 millones de euros es la cantidad que algunas asociaciones de profesionales del mundo de la cultura calculan como las pérdidas que el sector de la cultura y el espectáculo ha acumulado a lo largo de 2020 en España, debido a la crisis del Covid 19.
El sector de la cultura es uno de los que más está sufriendo por la pandemia, junto con la hostelería. Este sector representa o representaba un 3,2% del PIB, según datos del INE. A nivel de empleos, un informe anual de la Fundación Alternativas advierte del riesgo que supone la crisis para un sector que ya ha perdido 16.000 empleos.
Estos son solo algunos datos que he encontrado en internet que dejan evidencian lo difícil que ha sido el año pasado para la cultura y lo que está suponiendo para este 2021. Aunque muchos recintos culturales en España se reabrieron el pasado mes de octubre o noviembre, la afluencia de visitantes ha descendido muchísimo.
En el sector de los museos, por poner algún ejemplo, el Museo del Prado ha sufrido una gran caída de sus visitantes del 73% respecto al récord que había registrado en 2019 con 3,2 millones de personas, según datos de la propia pinacoteca. Tan solo han acudido durante 2020 unas 852.161 personas.
Además, la Sociedad General de Autores (SGAE), en su Anuario de 2019 (Anuario de las Artes Escénicas, Musicales y Audiovisuales), anunciaba que el cine o la música habían conseguido niveles parecidos a antes de 2008. Uno de los principales ganadores del 2019 fue la música popular, con una facturación de 362 millones de euros, 6,8% más respecto a 2018, y un incremento de 1,8% de audiencia. Los macrofestivales fueron esenciales para alcanzar, y en algunos casos superar, el techo de las cifras de 2008. Sin embargo, según el último estudio de la SGAE, el de 2020, presentado el pasado mes de septiembre, las cifras han sido muy diferentes debido al Covid-19.
Por otro lado, La Federación de Música en España, Es Música, ha recalculado sus previsiones económicas debido a la pandemia de coronavirus y estima unas pérdidas de 1.265 millones de euros en el plazo de un año. A mediados de año, desde Es Música se hablaba de unas pérdidas de 662,2 millones euros, si bien en el plazo comprendido de marzo a septiembre de 2020 (ahora las previsiones se han ampliado hasta marzo de 2021).
No tengo duda en afirmar que la tecnología se ha convertido en la gran aliada en este sector, que ha llegado para quedarse. La tecnología ha ayudado a sobrellevar la nueva gestión de los eventos, en cuestión de aforos, distanciamientos, cancelaciones, virtualización, cambios… Han sido innumerables necesidades que cada tipo de ocio necesitaba y la tecnología ha estado al quite.
El sector cultural debe encontrar ahora los medios de monetizar este nuevo modo de consumo para compensar, en la medida de lo posible las pérdidas que ha tenido que afrontar desde marzo de 2020. Por supuesto, no se puede vender una exposición digital al mismo precio que una física, pero la capacidad de venta de entradas se convierte en ilimitada.
Hoy en día, muchas colecciones de arte contemporáneo, como las obras de arte mediáticas, están basadas en soportes digitales. Las actuales y futuras reservas de los museos serán virtuales. Los servidores informáticos ofrecerán nuevos espacios de conservación. Las redes sociales en Internet forman parte de la vida de los museos. Ahora mismo, en la mayoría de los recintos culturales y deportivos, las entradas exclusivamente se pueden adquirir de forma online, se ha omitido todo contacto físico.
Durante los últimos meses he visto el nacimiento de una nueva forma de explorar las artes y participar en el mundo cultural. La cultura virtual ha sido adoptada como una nueva forma de consumo y entretenimiento.
Creo que es el sector de la música en directo el que ha podido tener más problemas: cancelaciones de conciertos, aforos, cambios de fecha, distribución de asientos, etc. que no se han visto apoyados por la tecnología y ha habido grandes problemas. Algunos, errores comunes que se han cometido y que gracias a plataformas como SecuTix, se podrían haber evitado, al contar con tecnología basada en la inteligencia artificial, que ha sido creada e ideada específicamente.
Solo el 12,5% de los recintos culturales cree que en 2021 se pueda recuperar la normalidad de funcionamiento e ingresos y hasta el 33% de las empresas privadas anunciaban que tendrían que hacer ajustes de personal y gastos para salvar el año según una encuesta llevada a cabo por el Observatorio de la Cultura entre los organizadores de eventos.
Por lo tanto, considero que las ayudas que vengan de los fondos de Bruselas deberían ser proporcionales para los sectores más afectados. Tenemos que recuperar la cultura y turismo de este país, volver a los niveles de 2019. En 2018, según un estudio de la Organización Mundial del Turismo, España ocupaba la segunda posición como país más visitado del mundo, después de Francia. Entre todo lo conseguiremos.
