Nadie duda de que la tecnología cloud desempeñará un papel decisivo en la capacidad de las empresas para responder a la pandemia, así como para conseguir que repunte el ritmo de su actividad y vuelvan al crecimiento. Para el equipo de especialistas en la plataforma de nube pública de AWS en Linke, este año que apenas comienza «va a marcar un punto de inflexión para la nube, con proyectos críticos para las estrategias de las empresas». Linke señala que serán ocho las tendencias más pronunciadas en computación en la nube a lo largo de 2021:
1. Aumento generalizado de la demanda de infraestructura en la nube en todas las áreas
La transición a la nube se está acelerando porque permite que los modelos de negocio se adapten rápidamente a nuevos hábitos de consumo, patrones de comportamiento y nuevas formas de trabajar, relacionarse, comunicarse, etc. El hardware, el software y los servicios en todos los entornos cloud (público, privado, híbrido, multicloud y edge) van a tener una gran demanda, sentando las bases para que pronto prevalezca sobre la informática tradicional.
Además, el despliegue de 5G abre la posibilidad de desplegar la infraestructura donde sea necesario, en dispositivos, en las instalaciones del cliente o en la nube e, independientemente de dónde se encuentre, se gestionará de forma homogénea con herramientas y procedimientos nativos en la nube.
2. Todo como servicio (XaaS)
En línea con lo anterior y en base al modelo de consumo de pago por uso, las empresas avanzarán hacia un modelo XaaS desde el que se puedan ofrecer todos los servicios tecnológicos desde la nube, para lograr una mayor escalabilidad, flexibilidad y rapidez en los plazos de entrega de los servicios digitales a la organización.
3. Migraciones más críticas del sistema
Como resultado de las lecciones aprendidas de la pandemia en la que las infraestructuras locales resultaron incapaces de responder rápidamente a las necesidades operativas, las empresas van a promover la transferencia de sus sistemas más críticos a la nube. En este sentido, en 2021 más empresas tomarán la decisión de migrar sus sistemas de gestión y centros de datos a este modelo.
4. Optimización de las operaciones en la nube
Aquellas empresas que ya han trasladado sus infraestructuras y sistemas a la nube querrán pasar al siguiente nivel para aprovechar las inversiones realizadas en esta área. La idea es, según los expertos de Linke, alinear el gasto con los objetivos de negocio, aprovechando la agilidad, los servicios y la innovación que aporta esta tecnología.
5. Nuevas áreas de inversión
Las implementaciones también aumentarán en algunas nuevas áreas, como la migración de contact centers, un área en la que la nube aporta mucha innovación. Este es un momento en el que es necesario gestionar los servicios al cliente con estrategias omnicanal para estar más cerca de ellos y aprovechar los canales de comunicación, tanto tradicionales como digitales (web, chat, redes sociales, chatbots, etc.).
6. Automatización e integración
Ahora que muchas empresas han llevado sus aplicaciones y sistemas a la nube, consideran esencial poder automatizarlos para eliminar las tareas rutinarias de los departamentos de TI. También será fundamental que se hayan establecido modelos híbridos y multicloud para integrar diferentes entornos de nube, para que las empresas puedan mover las cargas de trabajo al escenario más conveniente en todo momento para extraer valor real de sus inversiones en la nube.
7. Apoyo a la innovación
Las organizaciones que quieran impulsar la innovación lanzando nuevos servicios digitales verán esta tecnología como la base para hacerlo, ya que les permite aprovechar el potencial del big data, la analítica, la inteligencia artificial y el aprendizaje automático. Desde Linke creen que en 2021 empezaremos a ver aplicaciones en escenarios cotidianos en las empresas y que, especialmente, pasaremos de hablar de tecnologías que permiten el aprendizaje automático a ver cada vez más aplicaciones que existen gracias a esta tecnología.
8. La ciberseguridad, una prioridad para que el modelo avance
Las preocupaciones empresariales sobre la seguridad no pueden ser ignoradas, como resultado del aumento y la gravedad de los ataques, lo que significa que se debe prestar más atención a este problema con una fuerte respuesta de la industria, a través de alianzas, iniciativas de capacitación y el cierre de posibles puertas a la ciberdelincuencia. Desde una perspectiva tecnológica, las empresas y sus socios de TI deben evitar errores de configuración y acceso no autorizado, que actualmente son las principales amenazas identificadas por los clientes.
