A pesar de las “tormentas de disrupción” que atravesamos en la actualidad, la consultora tecnológica IDC mira al 2023 con esperanza y prevé un crecimiento continuado del sector tecnológico en los años venideros.
El sector tecnológico continuará en fase de crecimiento en 2023. Aprovechando la recta final del año, la firma de análisis IDC hace balance del mercado TI descifrando las tendencias que imperarán en el futuro más próximo de la mano de Jorge Gil, director general de la compañía, e Ignacio Cano, director de análisis en IDC. Así, a pesar de las “tormentas de disrupción” que atravesamos en la actualidad marcadas por los últimos vestigios de la pandemia, la inestabilidad de la cadena de suministro, la inflación desatada y los estragos de la guerra de Ucrania, hay esperanza. Todo esto, aseguraba Gil, “ha provocado cambios en la toma de decisiones de las empresas”, especialmente teniendo en cuenta la sombra de pesimismo que planea sobre la actualidad mediática. Sin embargo, aunque el 76% de las organizaciones considera que habrá una recesión el próximo año, lo cierto es que “estamos llegando a la soberanía digital” y las empresas continuarán invirtiendo en tecnología los años venideros.
En este escenario los analistas ponen el foco en un nuevo cambio de paradigma impulsado por la transición de las estrategias digital-first a la era del negocio digital. Y es que el año que viene la una de cada dos compañías generará el 40% de sus ingresos mediante productos y servicios digitales, lo que contribuirá a que el gasto español en TI crezca un 3,9% desde finales de 2022 hasta el próximo 2023. Un incremento que alcanzará un techo de 53.500 millones de euros. Entre los facilitadores que propiciarán estas cifras se encuentran los fondos Next Generation con sello europeo, los objetivos de sostenibilidad y el pacto verde europeo, además de la propia idiosincrasia del futuro del trabajo.
Así, entre las principales prioridades de inversión en España para 2023 Cano avanzaba cinco grandes verticales además de un área transversal: plataformas digitales componibles y aplicadas a la industria; viaje a la nube; eficiencia sistémica basada en la hiperautomatización; sostenibilidad; intelligent data workspace; y, por último la seguridad.
El viaje desde la nube híbrida a la nube pública continúa. De hecho, en todas las industrias, la previsión apunta a un crecimiento a doble dígito acumulado hasta 2026. Algo que no es de extrañar si tenemos en cuenta que el 45% de las organizaciones reconoce tener una estrategia de nube híbrida y que el 30% de las aplicaciones “están corriendo” a través de este canal según Cano. “La infraestructura digital es esencial para el éxito empresarial”, refería el analista, por lo que para 2024 “las complejidades del negocio digital y las presiones presupuestarias de TI impulsarán al 70% de las empresas del G1000 a aumentar la madurez de las FinOps”.
El espacio del trabajo del futuro está condicionado por dos grandes factores, explicaba Cano, las habilidades del talento y la experiencia del empleado a través de las ventajas del low code. En este sentido, continuaba, “la inversión se hace necesaria para cambiar radicalmente los modelos de trabajo”. Un hecho que llevará al mercado del futuro del trabajo a arañar los 240.000 dólares en 2024. Asimismo, para 2025 se estima que más del 60% de las empresas empezarán a formar y apoyar a los empleados para que construyan sus propias aplicaciones y procesos automatizados utilizando herramientas de low code. En este contexto, la falta de talento especializado sigue suponiendo un gran hándicap: “Las organizaciones europeas están viendo retrasos de hasta ocho meses en sus proyectos debido a la falta de competencias”. Sin embargo, cuando realmente sufren más las compañías es a la hora de retener ese talento cualificado en el seno de sus organizaciones, algo que termina por afectar al resto de trabajadores (sobrecarga de trabajo, pérdida de productividad, desacoplamiento del empleado con la organización…).
La ciberseguridad se consagra como bastión trasversal a todos los departamentos de la empresa. De hecho, incide Cano, “la ciberresiliencia será el término estrella para 2023, es crucial para las estrategias de digitalización y seguridad de las organizaciones”. En 2024, el 60% de las principales empresas europeas habrá aumentado su gasto anual en ciberresiliencia un 20% para proteger sus inversiones digitales. No sorprende, por tanto, que el mercado de la ciberseguridad haya superado la barrera de los 2.000 millones de euros en España. De hecho, para el año 2023, se espera un crecimiento del 9,2% y una tendencia más proactiva.
“Para el 2026, el 30% de las grandes organizaciones empresariales migrarán a centros de operaciones de seguridad autónomos a las que accederán equipos distribuidos para agilizar la reparación, la gestión de incidentes y la respuesta de amenazas”. Sin embargo, cabe mencionar que el desarrollo de la inteligencia artificial va a traer consigo una proliferación de las deep fake.
En materia de sostenibilidad, el analista vaticina que el desarrollo e implantación de métricas que midan la huella de carbono será una de las necesidades más significativas. Para 2024, el 80% de las empresas capturarán sus datos de carbono e informarán de su huella de carbono a nivel empresarial utilizando métricas cuantificables, en comparación con el 50% actual.
