Las pymes luchan para hacer frente a la transformación digital de sus negocios a medida que comienzan a recuperarse, muy lentamente, de los impactos de la COVID-19. En este sentido, el 48% de las empresas encuestadas por Sage en su último estudio afirman que estas invertirán en digitalización como parte de su estrategia empresarial para adaptarse a la nueva normalidad. Del mismo modo, la tecnología se considera la prioridad número uno cuando se trata de impulsar el crecimiento a largo plazo.
En el caso de España, la lenta y paulatina vuelta a la oficina y a la normalidad está siendo un proceso lento. A la vez que se dan pasos hacia la recuperación, muchas pymes deben, en paralelo, establecer nuevas políticas para equilibrar el trabajo en remoto y su automatización.
En este contexto, las empresas deben valorar todas las vías que ayuden a maximizar la eficiencia y eviten costes añadidos. Así los trabajadores son la clave, ya que la digitalización no puede tener éxito si las personas no la ponen en marcha.
La pandemia ha dejado varias lecciones a las empresas. Empezando por el departamento de RRHH hasta el financiero, que han trabajado duro para realizar los cambios necesarios en un tiempo récord. La realidad es que muchas empresas están todavía estancadas en el pasado en cuanto a tecnología se refiere y deben adaptarse a un entorno en constante cambio. De hecho, el 64% de pymes consultadas en el estudio afirma que se plantearán dejar de trabajar con proveedores u otras empresas deficitarias en implantación tecnológica, por considerar que no tendrán la capacidad necesaria para anticiparse a los requerimientos planteados por los clientes.
Antes de la pandemia, las funciones más digitalizadas eran normalmente la planificación de recursos, la previsión y las cuentas, la gestión de la cadena de suministro y la contabilidad. Las empresas ahora deben redoblar sus esfuerzos en estas áreas centrales y al mismo tiempo invertir en ventas, gestión de la fuerza laboral, publicidad y servicio al cliente.
Digitalización significa aprovechar las últimas tecnologías disponible para generar beneficios comerciales. En el clima actual, lo más importante para que las pymes mejoren en todos los procesos son la velocidad y la rentabilidad. Trabajar en un entorno optimizado e integrado en lugar de trabajar con una multitud de sistemas reducirá la complejidad y mejorará la productividad del personal.
La nube, ya sea pública o privada, es una ubicación ideal para almacenar datos de la empresa. Al liberarse de la infraestructura local, las pymes pueden transferir datos a través de su negocio sin problemas y compartirlos con clientes y socios sin importar la hora o la ubicación. Las tecnologías emergentes requieren una inmensa cantidad de información, pero los datos integrados ayudan a una empresa a adoptar y alimentar nuevas tecnologías con mayor rapidez.
La digitalización es un proceso continuo que pondrá a las personas en el centro, potenciándolas para que sean más productivas. El éxito depende de mucho más que adoptar la última tecnología; una empresa también debe asegurarse de que su personal esté listo para usarla. Para alentar a los empleados a adoptar nuevas tecnologías, las pymes deben revisar la transformación desde una perspectiva integral. Se deben considerar los procesos de comunicación, cultura, formación y trabajo.
