La pandemia del coronavirus ha supuesto un punto de inflexión en la sociedad. El teletrabajo fue la fórmula más utilizada para continuar con los niveles de actividad laboral durante el primer confinamiento, y muchas compañías han optado por mantener esta herramienta de trabajo para sus empleados. Durante el último trimestre de 2020, casi 2 millones de ocupados teletrabajaron de manera habitual en España, un 36,% menos que en el segundo trimestre del año pasado cuando se decretó el primer estado de alarma en nuestro país, según datos de la consultora Ranstad.
Pese a este decrecimiento de teletrabajadores, los empleados que actualmente desarrollan su actividad en remoto son el doble respecto a 2019. “Las empresas prevén mantener el teletrabajo a largo plazo. Los modelos híbridos y flexibles que combinan asistencia a la oficina y trabajo en remoto serán la principal tendencia en la era post-Covid-19 y, como consecuencia, la inversión tecnológica relacionada con la nube se disparará en los próximos años”, comenta Antonio Soto, director de Verne TECH, la división de negocio de tecnologías emergentes de Verne Group. Según datos de IDC, el 90% de las grandes empresas adoptará herramientas multicloud o híbridas en 2024.
Para sostener el auge del teletrabajo y las nuevas demandas organizacionales, las infraestructuras empresariales deben contar con tres pilares fundamentales. Un sistema escalable y flexible que responda a diferentes escenarios y se adapte a la carga esperada; una seguridad óptima tanto en las comunicaciones como en los dispositivos; y disponer de sistemas de recuperación idóneos ante cualquier infortunio en caso de que fallen los dos pilares anteriores. Por esto, es importante contar con una solución holística en cualquiera de las tres estrategias de arquitectura data center:
Las tan extendidas VPN empresariales ya no son el método más adecuado de conexión y protección de acceso, y en los próximos meses otras soluciones de tipo SDWAN irán ganando terreno para proteger los entornos data center flexibles y dinámicos. Por otra parte, la protección endpoint vuelve a ganar peso como barrera de protección de seguridad, y es que hoy en día son muchos los empleados que acceden desde sus propios dispositivos, conectados a redes personales poco seguras, y con escasez de concienciación y conocimientos con respecto al uso de las tecnologías. Una combinación idónea para que los ciberdelincuentes actúen y campen a sus anchas. “Para contrarrestar estas incidencias la formación en competencias digitales se torna indispensable”, apostilla Soto.
Disponer de sistemas de recuperación ante desastres, que permiten recuperar a la organización de datos antes cualquier tipo de fallo o inconveniente en la arquitectura, ya sea un problema hardware, un desastre natural, o un ciberataque va más allá de tener una copia de seguridad. Hoy en día este tipo de solución funciona ya como un servicio (Disaster Recovery as a Service DRaaS), y son indispensables para asegurar la continuidad del negocio.
