El modelo híbrido de trabajo, ya implantado durante 2021, se terminará de asentar en 2022 en la mayoría de las empresas.
Durante los dos últimos años marcados por la pandemia, el espacio de trabajo ha cambiado de forma drástica, pasando de la modalidad de teletrabajo total para aquellos puestos que lo permitían hasta la implantación de un modelo híbrido en la mayoría de las empresas. A pesar de ello, surgen muchas dudas en torno a esta nueva realidad, si bien esta nueva flexibilidad ha venido para quedarse o será una modalidad que abandonarán las empresas de forma paulatina. Aunque la vacunación masiva de la población está funcionando como muro de contención para evitar el colapso, el próximo 2022 seguirá marcado por las nuevas cepas de coronavirus. Entonces, ¿qué cambios veremos los próximos doce meses en nuestro espacio de trabajo? Steelcase, la primera compañía en España especializada en la consultoría integral de los espacios de trabajo, nos adelanta cinco tendencias que veremos en las oficinas el próximo año:
En los últimos meses, un gran porcentaje de empresas españolas han vuelto a la oficina combinando 2 o 3 días presenciales con 2 o 3 días de teletrabajo, en la mayoría de los casos. Los empleados han sabido adaptarse a este nuevo modelo de trabajo, que aporta más flexibilidad y permite organizar mejor la jornada en función del trabajo colaborativo o de concentración individualizado.
Antes de la pandemia, muy pocas organizaciones ofrecían a sus empleados la posibilidad de elegir el espacio en función del trabajo que tenían que realizar o de sus preferencias personales. De forma progresiva hemos ido viendo cómo esos espacios fijos se flexibilizaban para que pudieran ser elegidos por los trabajadores en función de sus necesidades. Esta tendencia de flexibilidad en el espacio de trabajo brinda más facilidades para la adaptación según el tipo de trabajo a realizar, especialmente en trabajos por proyectos donde no hay equipos cerrados. Las oficinas necesitan ser flexibles, evitando trabas físicas para los empleados, permitiendo así la adaptación del espacio ante lo que pueda surgir. Esta flexibilidad requiere adaptar los espacios existentes, como salas que se expanden y se contraen y que facilitan la adaptación de los grupos. Contar con un espacio de trabajo flexible favorece la adaptación de la empresa en el modelo híbrido con el teletrabajo, así como la incorporación de nuevas personas a la plantilla, entre otras situaciones.
La mayoría de los puestos de trabajo requieren de la colaboración entre los miembros del equipo, ya que estimula la innovación, mejora la productividad y aumenta la satisfacción de los empleados. Los equipos colaborativos trabajan juntos con lluvias de ideas nuevas, llevan a cabo proyectos ambiciosos y cumplen con sus objetivos. Los integrantes de un equipo colaborativo logran más trabajando juntos de lo que podrían lograr por separado. Según el estudio ‘Colaboración en el espacio de trabajo híbrida’ de Steelcase, el espacio de trabajo juega un papel fundamental a la hora de facilitar esta modalidad. Los espacios de trabajo abiertos que cuentan con soluciones que se expanden y se contraen y que se adaptan al tipo de trabajo a realizar favorecen el éxito de la colaboración de los equipos.
El auge de la importancia en cuanto a sostenibilidad también abarca el espacio de trabajo. No solo se trata de reducir la cantidad de recursos utilizados y desechados, sino que también es necesario emplear elementos naturales en la oficina que favorezca ser más sostenible. Esta tendencia vendrá marcada con la introducción de nuevos materiales sostenibles, interiores con más luz natural y localizaciones de oficinas en lugares verdes con fácil acceso a través del transporte público, así como a través de bicicletas o patinetes. Pero, además, la sostenibilidad en el trabajo también incluye el bienestar de los empleados, y con ello la introducción de zonas de descanso y ocio.
El inicio de la pandemia estuvo marcado por el teletrabajo forzado gracias a las posibilidades que ofrece la tecnología y las nuevas herramientas digitales. Aunque la digitalización de las empresas se remonta mucho tiempo atrás de la pandemia, cada vez es más difícil concebir el trabajo sin herramientas digitales. Según el estudio de Steelcase mencionado anteriormente, la adaptación del espacio de trabajo hacia la digitalización conlleva diseñar el espacio teniendo en cuenta la cámara, cómo se utilizan las pantallas y cómo influye una buena iluminación. También es importante contar con la tecnología adecuada que desplace el sonido en el espacio correctamente, como la cancelación de ruidos de fondo, especialmente en situaciones donde hay empleados presencialmente en la oficina y otros trabajando desde casa.
