El coronavirus ha supuesto un impulso en la investigación de la que se ha beneficiado el sector sanitario. No solo en la búsqueda de nuevas vacunas o fármacos, sino en otros apartados que han mejorado de forma sensible la situación.
Uno de esos apartados es el que tiene que ver con la tecnología. Gracias a ella se ha acelerado la toma de decisiones, se ha podido averiguar qué medicamentos son los más efectivos, se han escrito cientos de miles de documentos, se ha mejorado la colaboración entre todos los actores que conforman el sector sanitario, etc.
Y uno de los elementos que más han contribuido en la transformación del sector sanitario ha sido la Inteligencia Artificial, uno de los elementos clave sobre los que pivotará la evolución de este y de otros sectores en los próximos años.
Se puede decir que el desarrollo de la IA todavía se encuentra en pañales y le queda mucho recorrido. En lo que se refiere a la medicina, los médicos ya confían en ella, pero quieren más. Así se desprende de un estudio de la startup española MMG, en el que otorgan una puntuación de 4,65 sobre 10 al nivel de desarrollo de la inteligencia artificial en el sector.
Pero no sólo los médicos. También los responsables de empresas del sector de la salud, así como farmacéutico creen que queda mucho camino por recorrer ya que le dan una puntuación de 4,79 al desarrollo de la IA. Únicamente los estudiantes de medicina le dan un aprobado: 5,11.
En estos momentos, de las empresas y organismos que conforman el sector sanitario, son las farmacéuticas las que mayor rendimiento están sacando a la inteligencia artificial. Gracias a ella, han podido desarrollar nuevos fármacos y lo que es más importante, les ha ayudado a mejorar sus procesos de negocio.
Ya había soluciones destinadas a este fin, pero en la mayoría de los casos son las típicas soluciones de ERP a las que se les añade un módulo específico para este sector. Sin embargo, son muy pocas las soluciones que se valen de la IA para mejorar los procesos de negocio.
Para paliar esta situación empiezan a aparecer en el mercado soluciones que pretenden mejorar esos procesos de negocio y para ello se valen de las ventajas que ofrece la inteligencia artificial. Una de las soluciones que nos ha llamado la atención es el programa de inteligencia artificial dezzai.

El sistema cuenta con una metodología semántica capaz de asociar el significado de las palabras, extrayendo y organizando toda la información relevante para mostrar el contenido exacto. Gracias a esta forma de gestionar el conocimiento se pueden ofrecer servicios de valor añadido a los médicos de tal forma que no tengan que manejarse con una gran cantidad de datos que resulta muy difícil de procesar por su volumen.
Gracias al uso de la tecnología y de la IA, dezzai pone en marcha un mecanismo que involucra a las compañías farmacéuticas, la Administración y al paciente. A partir de aquí lleva a cabo una serie de acciones que repercuten de forma positiva en la adherencia al tratamiento como la posibilidad de predecir patrones de comportamiento de no adherencia y detectar posibles pacientes no adherentes; generar conversaciones en un entorno de confianza y proporcionar contenidos y servicios personalizados según el perfil del paciente.
Como decíamos al principio, el coronavirus ha generado cientos de miles de documentos, lo que ha puesto de manifiesto la importancia que tiene el dato para evaluar de forma correcta la toma de decisiones.
Hoy en día muchos profesionales necesitan motores de conocimiento para ello. En este aspecto, dezzai incorpora una solución que acaba con este problema: se trata de un motor de búsqueda de medicina que permite a los profesionales sanitarios que se mantengan informados con datos actualizados.

Por su parte, con la utilización de dezzai, las empresas farmacéuticas proporcionan un servicio de valor añadido a sus médicos a la vez que, gracias al social listening, incorporan una forma más eficiente de comprender y segmentar a los usuarios en función de sus opiniones y comportamiento.
