El próximo 28 de abril se celebra el Día Mundial de la Seguridad y Salud en el Trabajo. Este año, de forma inevitable, viene marcada por la situación que la pandemia ha provocado en el modelo de trabajo actual. Y es que además de los protocolos en procesos productivos, fábricas y otros entornos laborales, la irrupción del modelo de trabajo híbrido para personal de oficinas debe ir acompañada de criterios saludables para su desarrollo.
En este sentido los especialistas en productos ergonómicos y saludables de Fellowes, conocedores del entorno y del modelo híbrido que se plantea para el futuro, consideran vital que tanto el espacio laboral en las empresas como el espacio laboral en el hogar cumplan con criterios mínimos de salud en materia de ergonomía, bienestar y calidad ambiental, en referencia a contar con un aire limpio y regenerado a través de la purificación en dicho entorno.
Uno de los retos que plantea este Día Mundial de la Seguridad y Salud en el Trabajo es la aplicación de sistemas resilientes de seguridad y salud en el trabajo, que permitan responder con facilidad a entornos de crisis como las que hemos vivido.
En este sentido, la reorientación hacia modalidades como el teletrabajo o el modelo híbrido que se plantea para el futuro, implica que se evalúen correctamente estos entornos y se les dote del material necesario para el día a día del trabajador.
En un estudio reciente de Fellowes sobre teletrabajo en Europa arrojaba un dato inquietante en España: seis de cada diez trabajadores preferían tener un modelo de trabajo que les permitiera volver a la oficina porque en su hogar no disponían de un espacio saludable de trabajo.
No se trataba sólo del entorno en el que trabajaban sino también de qué forma lo hacían. La mayoría no dispone de un office o un despacho en casa, por lo que los lugares en los que utilizaban sus herramientas de trabajo (ordenador, tablet, teléfono) podía ser una sala de estar o una cocina. Y, además, no tenían elementos ergonómicos que les permitiera paliar problemas de salud manifestado en dolores de cuello, espalda, lumbares, etc.
Por eso también, en este día tan señalado, asesores especialistas para Fellowes como Ismael Sánchez-Herrera, Presidente de la Asociación de Especialistas en Prevención y Salud Laboral, recuerda que «el futuro de las empresas pasa por dotar de herramientas y productos que hagan saludables los espacios de trabajo, con el fin de que la productividad sea mucho mayor a nivel presencial pero sin perder, en este contexto de modelo híbrido, el foco del hogar y dotar al trabajador de lo mínimo imprescindible para un entorno de trabajo seguro y saludable. En este contexto la regeneración del aire para obtener una mayor calidad en espacios cerrados se considera fundamental de cara al futuro. Además de ventilar, purificar el aire se convertirá en algo cotidiano«.
No obstante las principales dolencias de estos trabajadores son los ojos cansados (53%), dolores de cabeza (49%), dolores de cervicales (48%), dolores de espalda (48%) y dolor en la zona lumbar (45%) según este estudio.
Anticipación, resiliencia y mucha, mucha salud laboral es lo que se demanda en este Día Mundial de la Seguridad y Salud en el Trabajo.
