Los trabajadores híbridos, también conocidos como nómadas digitales, gozan de mayor autonomía y una mejor conciliación de la vida profesional y personal.
Los cambios en el entorno laboral que ha traído la pandemia han sido numerosos, y se resumen en una palabra que se repite en las oficinas por todo el globo: flexibilidad. Frente a las rígidas normas laborales de jornadas presenciales de 8 a 20h que imperaban en nuestro país hasta hace año y medio, el teletrabajo “obligatorio” durante la pandemia ha abierto los ojos a muchas compañías sobre los beneficios de la flexibilidad y el trabajo híbrido. De hecho, según un reciente estudio realizado por IWG, la flexibilidad en el trabajo ayuda a mejorar hasta en un 20% la productividad de las empresas.
La mejora de la conciliación de la vida laboral y personal tiene mucho que ver con este incremento de la productividad y ha dado pie a que muchas empresas comiencen a considerar diferentes modelos de trabajo. El sistema de trabajo que más se está implantando en nuestro país, tras la estabilización de la pandemia, es el conocido como híbrido, que combina las jornadas en casa con días en la oficina. El buen funcionamiento de este modelo ha dado pie a que se reflexione sobre otro tipo de soluciones como las jornadas laborales de cuatro días, como la recién anunciada por Telefónica, o por semanas de 35 horas.
El modelo híbrido también ha ayudado a desestigmatizar la idea de trabajar fuera de la oficina y ha permitido el auge y el desarrollo de una nueva tribu laboral, los nómadas digitales, que llevan el teletrabajo un paso más allá. Así, estos nómadas no realizan sus funciones en un domicilio próximo a la oficina, sino que apuestan por irse a otras ciudades, o, incluso países. En consecuencia, habrá gente tecleando este verano en la Costa del Sol o en Canarias cuyas sedes se encuentren en Madrid, Londres o Nueva York. Desde IWG destacan que este estilo de trabajo es el que ofrece una mayor autonomía personal, más oportunidades de viajar y permite conseguir un atractivo equilibrio entre vida personal y profesional.
El avance de este tipo de realidades laborales es imparable y ha obligado a que en las últimas semanas Gobiernos de todo el mundo lancen diferentes normativas que den un marco jurídico a estos nuevos modelos de trabajo. En este sentido, el Gobierno de España ha presentado durante este mes de julio dos nuevas propuestas de ley para intentar regular estos sistemas, la ley de Startups y la ley del Teletrabajo. Ambas normativas buscan regular mejor a este nuevos trabajadores, así como ofrecer incentivos para que las empresas se decanten por alguna de estas nuevas formas de trabajo.
Asimismo, el auge de las nuevas realidades laborales está beneficiando claramente a los espacios de coworking, en donde España es líder mundial. Así lo señala el Global Coworking Growth Study 2020 de la consultora Coworking Resources que sitúa a nuestro país como el cuarto en el mundo con más oficinas de este tipo. Durante el pasado año, IWG, matriz de Regus o Spaces, dio un paso más allá en su liderazgo y abrió seis de esos nuevos centros en nuestro país. De tal manera, la firma ya suma 54 oficinas de coworking en nuestro país en 14 ciudades diferentes. Asimismo, la multinacional ya ha desvelado su intención de extender su oferta a nuevas ciudades como Valladolid, Logroño y Pamplona.
