Como viene siendo habitual en la recta final de año, las consultoras lanzan sus pronósticos de cara al próximo año. De acuerdo con las predicciones sobre el futuro de las tecnologías en 2021, Forrester y Gartner confirman que el auge de la nube, la Inteligencia Artificial y las tecnologías de automatización, pero también la irrupción de nuevas tendencias que serán clave para el desarrollo y la competitividad de los negocios.
La irrupción de la pandemia de la COVID-19 en nuestras vidas a comienzos de este año ha marcado profundamente la evolución del mercado tecnológico durante los siguientes meses, y lo seguirá haciendo el próximo año. La necesidad de continuidad de los negocios ha protagonizado gran parte de la inversión TI a nivel mundial y los CIO siguen esforzándose por adaptarse a las cambiantes condiciones del mercado.
Se trata de algo que, como apuntan desde Forrester y Gartner, influirá en las tendencias tecnológicas que veremos de cara a 2021. Así ven el futuro tecnológico estas consultoras.
Apuesta por la Inteligencia Artificial
En un nuevo escenario en el que el trabajo en remoto vive una época dorada, desde Forrester se muestran convencidos en que tecnologías como la Inteligencia Artificial (IA) tendrá un importante desarrollo y, tanto los VAR como los MSP que inviertan en ella podrán aprovechar las muchas oportunidades que brinda. Según Forrester, más del 60% de los vendedores B2B estarán habilitados para IA y automatización en 2021, y el 57% de los líderes de ventas de canal planea invertir en herramientas con IA y automatización el próximo año.
SOLO EL 53% DE LOS PROYECTOS PASAN DE PROTOTIPOS DE IA A PRODUCCIÓN
No obstante, Gartner señala que el 53% de los proyectos pasan de prototipos de IA a producción. El camino hacia la producción de IA significa recurrir a la ingeniería basándose en tres pilares fundamentales: DataOps, ModelOps y DevOps. Una estrategia sólida de ingeniería de IA facilitará el rendimiento, la escalabilidad, la interpretabilidad y la fiabilidad de los modelos, al tiempo que ofrece el valor total de las inversiones en IA.
En esta línea, la consultora también destaca la apuesta por las soluciones componibles que agilizarán la toma de decisiones en las organizaciones para responder de forma más ágil.
El teletrabajo, al alza
Si en 2019 tan solo un 4% de los empleados europeos que trabajan en oficina podía teletrabajar, este porcentaje se elevará a más de un tercio del total de trabajadores en 2021. Para Forrester, este cambio conllevará reformas en las leyes laborales y, por tanto, a la contratación, lo que estimulará la contratación de servicios de empleo profesionales para atraer y retener talentos y cumplir con la regulación.
Todo esto llevará a que, como apunta Gartner, cada vez sea más importante poder realizar operaciones en cualquier lugar con un modelo operativo de TI diseñado para apoyar a los clientes en todas partes, habilitar a los empleados en cualquier lugar y gestionar la implementación de servicios en infraestructuras distribuidas.
A FINALES DE 2023, EL 40% DE LAS ORGANIZACIONES HABRÁN IMPLEMENTADO SERVICIOS DE INFRAESTRUCTURAS DISTRIBUIDAS
Es más que simplemente trabajar desde casa o interactuar con los clientes virtualmente, ya que también ofrece experiencias únicas de valor añadido en cinco áreas clave: colaboración y productividad, acceso remoto seguro, infraestructura en la nube y Edge, cuantificación de la experiencia digital y automatización para brindar soporte remoto.
Las previsiones de Gartner apuntan a que, a finales de 2023, el 40% de las organizaciones habrán implementado este modelo para ofrecer experiencias de cliente y empleados virtuales y físicas optimizadas.
La nube cobra protagonismo
El 30% de las empresas continuarán acelerando su gasto en nube, seguridad y riesgo, redes y movilidad. Estas previsiones de Forrester ponen de manifiesto cómo las nuevas necesidades surgidas en el nuevo escenario como consecuencia de la pandemia, seguirán teniendo un impacto positivo en ciertos mercados como los citados.
Para Gartner, el gran impulso lo veremos en lo que denomina nube distribuida, que es la distribución de servicios de nube pública en diferentes ubicaciones físicas, mientras que la operación, el gobierno y la evolución de los servicios siguen siendo responsabilidad del proveedor de nube pública.
Además, en 2025, la mayoría de las plataformas de servicios en la nube proporcionarán al menos algunos servicios en la nube distribuidos que se ejecutarán en el lugar donde se necesiten y, según la consultora, puede empezar a reemplazar la nube privada y a ir adquiriendo cada vez mayor protagonismo en el cloud del futuro.
Los partners europeos, y gobiernos como el alemán y el francés, están buscando fórmulas para dejar de depender de los grandes proveedores cloud estadounidenses, como AWS, Microsoft y Google, con la creación de un proyecto de infraestructura europeo.
La previsión es que GAIA-X ya pueda disponer de soluciones en el mercado a finales de este mismo año, con lo que se abre una nueva incógnita acerca del impacto que esta iniciativa tendrá en la nube europea en 2021. Dependerá, en gran medida, del desarrollo de políticas sensatas para el uso e intercambio de datos en las que los principales proveedores cloud deberían participar.
Las nuevas necesidades de competitividad y eficiencia llevarán a los negocios a apostar también por la hiperautomatización para identificar, examinar y automatizar rápidamente tantos procesos de negocio y de TI como sea posible. La pandemia ha incrementado la demanda de lo digital y, en consecuencia, más del 70% de las organizaciones buscan llevar a cabo iniciativas de hiperautomatización.
Uno de los grandes desafíos de los CIO es la seguridad y la necesidad de cumplimiento de la legislación en protección de datos. Esto llevará a que, según Gartner, en 2025, la mitad de las grandes organizaciones implementarán computación que mejore la privacidad para procesar datos en entornos que no sean de confianza y análisis de datos de múltiples partes.
Además, en un avance por permitir a las personas a acceder a activos digitales de forma segura, independientemente de dónde se encuentre el activo o la persona, en 2025, esta malla de ciberseguridad admitirá más de la mitad de las solicitudes de control de acceso digital.
Ante el impulso que están experimentando el comercio electrónico y los canales digitales, Forrester apunta que, actualmente, más de un tercio de los compradores de tecnología B2B ve los chatbots como uno de los diez principales canales de participación.
Si bien esta tecnología tiene cada vez mayor aceptación, cada vez será más patente la necesidad de asistentes virtuales que aprovechen los datos propios y de terceros junto con la AI y el aprendizaje automático.
Cada vez más las organizaciones utilizan datos sobre los individuos, como los de ubicación o reconocimiento facial, para conectarlos con los de usos de dispositivos o compras realizadas.
A FINALES DE 2025, MÁS DE LA MITAD DE LA POBLACIÓN ESTARÁ SUJETA A UN PROGRAMA DE IOB
Esta combinación que se ha denominado Internet del Comportamiento (IoB, Internet of Behaviour) adquirirá cada vez más relevancia de forma que, según Gartner, a finales de 2025, más de la mitad de la población mundial estará sujeta a, al menos, un programa de IoB, aunque habrá debates éticos y sociales sobre los diferentes enfoques que se emplean para influenciar en el el comportamiento humano.
Si el pasado año la multiexperiencia era una de las principales tendencias tecnológicas estratégicas, este año Gartner va un paso más allá y apunta a la experiencia total (TX) como la evolución que conectará la multiexperiencia con las disciplinas de experiencia de cliente, empleado y usuario.
A medida que las organizaciones se vuelven más virtuales y distribuidas, necesitarán de una estrategia de experiencia total para diferenciarse gracias a la capitalización de nuevos disruptores experienciales.
