El esperado segundo informe de Brother, dentro de su serie dedicada a la Transformación Digital de las empresas, está ya disponible para su descarga gratuita.
Centrado en la optimización del presupuesto destinado a tecnología, este informe constituye una valiosa hoja de ruta para tomar una decisión fundamental sobre cómo implementar la solución tecnológica más adecuada. Y más concretamente, ¿cómo hacerlo en el terreno de la impresión, ahorrando tiempo y dinero?
Cualquier empresario o responsable de IT que se haya enfrentado a este dilema se ha planteado los mismos interrogantes. En primer lugar, ¿merece la pena comprar equipos que, además de ser costosos, se deprecian muy rápido y se quedan obsoletos? ¿O sería más inteligente contratar un sistema de alquiler o renting?
En segundo lugar, ¿es eficiente trabajar con muchos proveedores de tecnología diferentes? Quizá centrarse en solo unos pocos permitiría obtener un mejor servicio, simplificar las tareas administrativas e incluso negociar precios más ventajosos.
Según el informe, basado en cerca de 900 entrevistas a directivos de empresas de toda Europa, la tendencia está cambiando cada vez más hacia el modelo de Gasto Operacional (Operational Expenditure u OpEx), consistente en alquilar el hardware al proveedor (incluyendo el mantenimiento) en formato renting. Dos de cada cinco empresas ya lo hacen parcialmente y una de cada seis por completo.
Por otro lado, ante un escenario tecnológico cada vez más complejo, un dato llamativo es que el 67% de las empresas prevén reducir su número de proveedores de hardware en los próximos tres años.
En el caso de las impresoras, también crece el número de empresas que contratan Servicios Gestionados de Impresión (MPS), en vista de sus múltiples beneficios:
Brother pone a disposición de las empresas una oferta de Servicios Gestionados de Impresión completa, flexible y adaptada a las necesidades reales de cada negocio. La clave está en el mantenimiento “At your side”, es decir, en estar disponibles y al servicio del cliente siempre que lo necesite. El proceso completo se realiza en tres fases:
Fase de Evaluación. El primer paso es entender las necesidades y los hábitos de impresión del cliente, mediante una auditoría que evalúa el parque de impresoras existente, su uso actual, el CTO (Coste Total de la Propiedad), los requerimientos de seguridad y productividad del cliente, su política de RSC… Con todo ello se desarrolla una solución a medida que optimice la eficiencia y evite los costes ocultos.
Fase de Implantación. Para asegurar que el paso a los Servicios Gestionados sea rápido y sencillo, y tenga un impacto mínimo en la actividad de la empresa, Brother se ocupa de todo: desde el envío e instalación a la configuración de los equipos, la formación de los usuarios y la integración con el resto de los sistemas.
Fase de Optimización. Por último, Brother se ocupa de que todo funcione correctamente mediante un mantenimiento preventivo y reactivo. Revisiones periódicas, evaluación diaria de la disponibilidad, las demandas operativas y el uso establecido de cada equipo, asistencia técnica inmediata… Todo lo necesario para que el servicio de impresión funcione como la seda del primer día al último.
En resumen, el nuevo informe de Brother es una interesante y útil herramienta para conocer las ventajas del modelo OpEx y las tendencias actuales en la implementación de soluciones tecnológicas en cualquier organización.
