Ticpymes ha acudido a la inauguración del South Summit 2021 para conocer de primera mano cuáles son las startups más innovadoras y qué futuro le depara al ecosistema emprendedor que este año ha puesto el foco en la sostenibilidad
Antes de entrar al evento, las colas multitudinarias que había para acceder a La Nave, hacían presagiar que la vuelta a la presencialidad del South Summit era una fecha esperada por el público, que aguardaba impaciente para poder conocer de cerca cuáles han sido las 100 startups seleccionadas este año por su innovación tecnológica.
El evento más importante del ecosistema emprendedor español comenzaba esta mañana con la presencia de S.M. el Rey Felipe VI además de otras autoridades y representantes políticos como la Ministra de Industria, Comercio y Turismo, Reyes Maroto, o el alcalde de Madrid, José Luis Martínez-Almeida, entre otros.
El acto de inauguración ha contado también con Robin Chase, fundadora de Zipcar, una de las primeras compañías de la economía colaborativa del mundo y quien ha hecho enfásis en el papel de los innovadores para crear un mundo en el que sí queramos vivir, destacando ante la audiencia que “cada uno de nosotros cuenta con una educación y una experiencia personal para hacer de este mundo un lugar mejor. Necesitamos acelerar el proceso de evolución hacia la sostenibilidad, sin llegar a una revolución”.
Por su parte, Don Felipe VI ha resaltado la importancia de España como destino para startups y emprendedores de todo el mundo, poniendo en valor el “atractivo de nuestro país para nómadas digitales y numerosos profesionales que trabajan en el sector de forma remota”. Además, ha puesto en valor la presencia de tanta gente joven con talento reunida en este evento que, según manifestaba, «sirve para que entre todos trabajemos en modelar un futuro más inclusivo y mucho más sostenible».
Su Majestad también ha destacado las “magníficas infraestructuras tecnológicas, el rápido despliegue del 5G y la gran proliferación de centros de datos de gran capacidad” en nuestro país. Pero, especialmente, “la mentalidad abierta al cambio que caracteriza a nuestra sociedad y que se articula en una amplísima red de centros de formación, parques tecnológicos, incubadoras y aceleradoras”.
Un paseo real y virtual por La Nave
Una vez dentro, el primer stand que encontramos era el del Ayuntamiento de Madrid que ha decidido dar protagonismo este año a una startup de carácter social llamada Ayudame3D, una entidad que busca ayudar a colectivos vulnerables de todo el mundo. Así, crea y entrega brazos impresos en 3D, denominados trésdesis, de manera gratuita, a personas con discapacidad, con el fin de mejorar sus vidas.
En el pabellón principal se econtraban también el resto de startups seleccionadas así como stands de los diferentes partners que colaboran en la organización del evento. Dos pasillos en los que se podía observar, a izquierda y derecha, la amplia gama de productos y servicios tecnológicos que se ofertaban hasta llegar al final del pabellón donde se encontraba otra empresa social, Filantrópico, una nueva marca de café con valores. En grano, molido o en cápsulas biodegradables, empaquetado siempre en envases compostables, este café pretende «dejar poso» en el mundo, destinando el 100% de los beneficios obtenidos por su venta a proyectos de carácter social o ambiental que generen un impacto positivo en el planeta. Una idea que, como gran parte de las startups allí reunidas, surgió durante la pandemia, cuando el CEO de la entidad, Javier Sanz, decidió fundar junto a su mujer esta entidad que además pretende dar trabajo a más de 250 personas discpacitadas.
Entre todos los stands, también hemos visto empresas de diversa índole que tienen como cliente a la pequeña y mediana empresa. Entre ellas, Vistaprint, que ofrece el servicio de marketing y diseño eficaz a startups españolas, desde los materiales de venta hasta las herramientas digitales y los servicios de diseño gráfico. Además, estaban realizando un concurso en el que otorgarán a cuatro ganadores de España un premio de 5000 € en metálico y 500 € en materiales de marketing para ayudarles a dar un impulso a su negocio.
Aparte, también hemos visto empresas y proyectos apostando por la realidad virtual inmersiva como el Ybvr, una compañía que ha conseguido que el espectador tenga acceso a eventos deportivos o musicales desde casa pero viviéndolos como si estuviera allí de forma presencial. Para ello, han logrado adaptar el vídeo que graban en 8K para que llegue a unas gafas de realidad virtual o cualquier otro dispositivo en formato 360 grados y sin latencia, de forma que mire hacia donde mire el usuario, verá exactamente lo mismo que si estuviera asistiendo en vivo al evento elegido.
Paseando por el interior se aprecia también la conectividad que surge de este evento en el que emprendedores, inversores y clientes del sector tecnológico comparten impresiones sobre las diferentes herramientas y se reúnen en diferentes salas para dar a conocer sus proyectos con la Inteligencia Artificial y la apuesta por un mundo más sostenible como protagonistas de este ecosistema emprendedor.
En este sentido, se pronunciaba también María Benjumea, fundadora de Spain Startup-South Summit y que ha apuntado que “no solo el emprendimiento es clave para el desarrollo económico, apostar por el planeta es igual de determinante para todos. Si hay una comunidad que puede conseguir ambos objetivos, es la comunidad de las startups, de los emprendedores, de los innovadores”.
Durante el resto del evento, que finaliza el 7 de octubre, se van a dar a conocer además los ganadores del South Summit de entre los 100 proyectos más disruptivos a nivel mundial, una selección de startups que, para poder estar ahí ya tuvo que destacar entre más de 3.800 candidaturas presentadas a la Startup Competition, procedentes de más de 124 países, con un 75% de startups de origen internacional.
