La jornada, moderada por Enrique Ruiz, Director General de RGA re Iberia, ha contado con la participación de Enrique Benayas, director general de ICEMD; Antonio González Barros, presidente y fundador del Grupo Intercom; Félix de Ana, acelerador digital de Grupo PSA y Rafael Juan, CEO del Grupo Dulcesol.
Durante la mañana, se ha posicionado la figura del CEO como motor principal en la implantación de la transformación digital en las empresas, un cambio en el que el 90% de las compañías fallan.
Nos encontramos ante una sociedad cambiante en la que el 20% de los empleos actuales serán automatizados en los próximos 20 años y el 70% de los bebés de hoy trabajarán en profesiones que todavía no se han inventado.
Y es que, según los directivos, para mantener el ritmo de estos cambios de debe intensificar el compromiso con el empleado, asumiendo el CEO una función de liderazgo en la que dirigir y acompañar esta modernización con un cambio de mentalidad orientada hacia una cultura de aprendizaje. Una cultura en la que empoderar a los profesionales a través de una formación efectiva y de la creación de equipos colaborativos, transversales y multidisciplinares.
El reto que afrontan las compañías en su proceso de transformación digital es lograr la capacitación humana y operacional, pero para ello se enfrentan a sistemas heredados, falta de una estructura clara en la que el negocio y la TI no están alineados y la brecha de talento y habilidades de sus empleados, lo que puede provocar una cultura de resistencia al cambio.
Otra de las conclusiones que se derivan del debate es la importancia de la ejecución en la transformación de estas compañías, ya que, si la metodología funciona, la clave recae en la forma de ejecutarla y comunicarla. Por ello conocer estas técnicas y adaptarlas a la realidad de cada compañía es fundamental para la toma de decisiones.
Unas conclusiones que van en línea con el estudio “Una Transformación Incompleta” realizada por ICEMD, en el que se indica, por ejemplo, la mentalidad a corto plazo que tienen las empresas respecto a la tecnología. A su vez, se explica en el documento la importancia del CIO como cómplice del CEO para no limitar la transformación a la tecnología, sino hacerla extensible a las personas que la manejan en su día a día.

Enrique Ruiz Martín, Director General de RGA re Iberia señala: “El rol del directivo ha evolucionado en el sector asegurador, es cada vez más complejo, pues se le exigen más atributos. A la capacidad de gestión se le han ido añadiendo otras capas como las habilidades de comunicación, el saber escuchar, grado de empatía, saber rodearse de perfiles heterogéneos, abrazar la diversidad… hasta llegar a la capa de la innovación: hoy el directivo tiene que ser el garante de que la innovación esté en el ADN de la empresa”,
Para superar estos retos, se ha de entender la transformación digital como un cambio de mentalidad, en la que es necesario tener un amplio conocimiento de las tecnologías digitales y disruptivas, realizando un plan estratégico con las personas en el foco y en el que se apliquen metodologías ágiles. En este sentido, para Félix de Ana, de Grupo PSA: “toda transformación ágil comienza por un cambio cultural que debe ser impulsado por la dirección hacia una forma de trabajo flexible con el cliente en el centro y foco en el valor entregado”. La intensificación del compromiso del empleado, y su implicación en los nuevos modelos, se traduce en un aumento del 87% de retención del talento y un incremento del 19% de la rentabilidad y la productividad.
La aceleración tecnológica avanza a un ritmo exponencial, mientras que la adaptación al cambio de los humanos es gradual. En este sentido, Antonio González Barros, presidente y fundador del Grupo Intercom, comenta que “en los últimos cinco años se han producido más cambios que en los 10 anteriores, ante este crecimiento exponencial de la tecnología, no vamos a poder dar una buena respuesta a los retos que nos vienen si no estamos preparados y nos adaptamos a la velocidad de cambio”.
Rafael de Juan, CEO del Grupo Dulcesol, pone de manifiesto que no solo los sectores más punteros e intensivos en tecnología tienen que estar a la vanguardia de la transformación digital, sino que la innovación, la formación constante y la modernización en los procesos deben estar presentes en todos los ámbitos y destacó la importancia de la creación de centros de innovación para estar presentes en toda la cadena de valor de la fabricación y distribución de productos alimenticios.
Para clausurar el acto, Enrique Ruiz Martín y Enrique Benayas, han protagonizado un coloquio en el que se ha destacado la necesidad no ya de transformar, sino de reinventar el modelo de negocio.
La innovación no es necesariamente digitalizar ciertos procesos, si no que transciende este campo. Se trata de escuchar al mercado y de entender cómo son las tecnologías exponenciales y, a través de la formación, ser capaces de ver conexiones donde otros no las ven y desarrollar soluciones que mejoren la vida de nuestros clientes.
Según destaca Enrique Benayas, director general de ICEMD; “En un entorno de cambio continuo es fundamental estar continuamente capacitándonos para adaptarnos a la nueva realidad. La transformación no es un objetivo, no es un hito, vamos a estar mutando continuamente de una manera exponencial, es un viaje de cambio continuo. La diferencia entre tener capacitación y no tenerla es que la formación transforma personas, transforma empresas y, al transformar empresas, transforma la cultura de la empresa”.
