La revolución en la que estamos inmersos nos plantea un desafío que hay que abordar de forma inmediata, de lo contrario, muchas empresas hasta ahora líderes en su sector quedarán relegadas a un segundo lugar en aras de otras más competitivas e innovadoras. Por ello, es necesario que sean conscientes de que deben integrar lo digital dentro de su ADN.
Para llevar a cabo esta transformación digital es importante tener en cuenta las 5 dimensiones principales descritas en el Ciclo de la Estrella Digital y el hecho de que la transformación es una constante, no es un destino. Los 5 elementos clave de este ciclo transformador son: liderazgo y agilidad en la dirección, apuesta por la experiencia de cliente y de empleado como un todo, optimización de las operaciones, y la aportación de valor a través de la tecnología y la innovación, a la hora de definir una estrategia ganadora que nos permite crear nuevas líneas de ingresos a través de nuevos modelos de negocio, nuevos productos y nuevos servicios.
La transformación digital debe colocarse en el core de la empresa y debe ser un proceso constante; una estrategia viva que se adapte a los imparables cambios del sector y a las nuevas soluciones tecnológicas. Solo de esta manera seremos capaces de evolucionar e innovar mientras protegemos las líneas de negocio tradicionales de la compañía, aunque sea transitoriamente.
Para llevar a cabo una transformación digital de forma eficaz, las compañías deben fijarse en tecnologías como la Inteligencia Artificial y otras tecnologías cognitivas, que permiten a los CIO’s tomar decisiones basadas en datos; apostar por la automatización para liberar a los empleados de las tareas más rutinarias, que les permitan trabajar en las tareas más creativas; implementar la realidad virtual y realidad aumentada con el desarrollo de aplicaciones concretas, y trabajar por mantener la confianza digital, puesto que los consumidores tienen una creciente sensibilidad por conocer el uso que hacen las empresas y las administraciones públicas de su información personal.
La revolución digital debe desarrollarse desde dentro de la compañía implicando a toda la estructura jerárquica, desde la dirección general hasta los empleados. Toda la plantilla debe ser consciente y, sobre todo, partícipe de ello. Además, hace falta contar con profesionales formados y con conocimientos sólidos de las soluciones tecnológicas que existen actualmente. Debemos además afrontar el reto de mirar al futuro en materia de formación tecnológica y digital. Es necesario que los modelos educativos actuales se adapten a esta nueva realidad donde debe predominar la formación en competencias digitales combinada con una vertiente humanística y social, que permitirá a los futuros profesionales entender las tendencias, promover la igualdad y la diversidad y hacer uso de la tecnología con responsabilidad, conciencia y ética.
Este cambio en el modelo educativo pasa por trabajar las soft skills, aptitudes como el liderazgo, la flexibilidad, las habilidades de comunicación o la responsabilidad son aspectos que deben integrarse en los programas curriculares. Solo de esta forma estaremos formando a los trabajadores del futuro, con capacidades para trabajar en equipos multidisciplinares y con una mente abierta y analítica, dos requisitos imprescindibles para entender los riesgos y los desafíos que implica la transformación digital.
