La digitalización masiva de la sociedad está calando también en la empresa. La forma de trabajar y los espacios, las oficinas, no pueden seguir siendo los mismos que hace unos años. El reto, sobre todo para las empresas de mediano-gran tamaño, es cómo afrontar esta nueva era digital en la que todo está conectado y en la que impera la máxima colaboración y agilidad de procesos. Dotar a los empleados de las herramientas precisas para trabajar de un modo más eficiente es una obligación que ninguna organización debe obviar. Sobre ello se profundizó ayer en un evento organizado en el Club Allard de Madrid por la revista ComputerWorld y la compañía KYOCERA Document Solutions. En éste, directivos de la firma japonesa, un analista de IDG Research (la pata de consultoría del grupo editor IDG España) y diversos responsables de compañías de varios sectores aportaron su punto de vista sobre esta problemática, moderados por María José Marzal, directora de ComputerWorld.
KYOCERA sabe cómo evolucionar con éxito a lo largo de los años. “Es una de las cien empresas más innovadoras del mundo”, recordó Jesús Contreras, director de Desarrollo de Negocio y Marketing de KYOCERA Document Solutions en España. En Japón, explicó el directivo, el grupo es operadora de telefonía, fabricante de móviles, de paneles solares, de redes, de productos cerámicos para el mundo industrial y de dispositivos de impresión. Precisamente en estos últimos enfocaba su negocio la pata de KYOCERA Document Solutions, que supone un 23% del total de la corporación y que es la que tiene presencia en España. No obstante, ésta ha evolucionado en los últimos años: “Hemos pasado de ofrecer dispositivos de impresión y multifuncionales a brindar también soluciones alrededor de estos dispositivos: software, soluciones de seguridad, soluciones de captura de documentos… Es más, no solo nos interesa el documento sino el dato y qué se hace con toda la información. Ahora nos centramos en cómo mejorar los procesos dentro de las organizaciones”.
Smarter workspace’ como mantra
El foco de actuación sobre el que gira la nueva estrategia de KYOCERA Document Solutions es el de smarter workspace. “Nuestro objetivo es ir construyendo soluciones para mejorar los espacios y los puestos de trabajo”, afirmó Contreras.
“No hay transformación si no miramos al backoffice, si no cambiamos los procesos”, apuntó por su parte Raquel Pinillos, directora de Ventas corporativas de KYOCERA Document Solutions en España. “Según datos de un estudio elaborado por IDG Research y KYOCERA Document Solutions, el 70% de las medianas-grandes empresas (de 200 a 500) empleados están pensando o inmersos en la transformación digital, pero ahora el desafío que tienen es cómo hacer esto: “¿Potencian la movilidad?, ¿apuestan por tecnología cloud u on premise?, ¿revisan sus procesos?, ¿la gestión de sus contenidos?, ¿ponen al empleado en el centro?
La propuesta de KYOCERA Document Solutions, explicó Pinillos, ha sido “convertir al dispositivo de impresión en un dispositivo de captura y salida de datos y, después, en un disparador de procesos. Nuestros equipos son inteligentes porque se integran con las aplicaciones de la compañía y nuestro software permite monitorización y una gestión inteligente del dato”. Por otro lado, precisó la portavoz, la compañía también ofrece consultoría para ver cómo está el sistema de impresión y de backoffice y los procesos de una empresa. “Contamos con una plataforma de gestión de impresión empresarial y con otra de gestión de contenidos empresariales y procesos de negocio”, añadió.
La realidad de la empresa española
Alberto Bellé, analista de IDG Research, ahondó en el estado de las empresas de 200 a 500 empleados en este proceso de transformación digital. “El estudio multisectorial de la mediana-gran empresa que hemos realizado con KYOCERA muestra que, aunque hacia fuera, hacia sus clientes, estas compañías se han transformado, no lo han hecho hacia dentro. ‘Hacer’ algo digital es distinto a ‘ser’ digital. Es clave cambiar por dentro, digitalizar los procesos internos. Además, hay que tener en cuenta que ya no solo son digitales los clientes, también lo son los competidores”.
El analista resaltó que “en este mundo sin mapas las empresas dependen de su estrategia pero, sobre todo, de sus empleados”. El empleado, explicó, necesita un entorno de información para su empoderamiento. “El empleado no tiene que ser un engranaje del proceso sino un disparador del mismo, y en este escenario la tecnología es un catalizador”, añadió. En este nuevo panorama en el que se camina hacia una gestión transparente apoyada en métricas y con la seguridad por diseño como mantra “el CIO debe buscar alianzas con el área de Recursos Humanos, que le tiene que ayudar a definir al empleado digital, y ser él mismo un habilitador de los espacios inteligentes en su empresa”.

Services; y Alicia Alonso y Luis Zumárraga, respectivamente directora y coordinador TIC del Colegio Laude Fontenebro.
