Chintan Patel, director de Tecnología en Cisco para Reino Unido e Irlanda, desvela las diez tendencias tecnológicas que definirán nuevas experiencias, reglas y prioridades.
La pandemia ha acelerado la transformación digital. Tres de cada cuatro organizaciones consultadas porCiscohan adelantado la ejecución de sus planes digitales, pasando de períodos de 1-3 años a meses o incluso semanas. La ‘nueva normalidad’ tendrá distintas interpretaciones y consecuencias para cada sector de la economía, los Gobiernos y la sociedad. Pero hay algunos denominadores comunes en torno a las experiencias, normas y prioridades definidas por la tecnología. Chintan Patel, director de Tecnología en Cisco para Reino Unido e Irlanda, las recoge en este decálogo.
–Online se convierte en ‘frontline’. El comercio electrónico ya estaba implantado, pero la pandemia ha acelerado su evolución. Las empresas ofrecerán nuevos servicios online, con mejoras en la logística y en la experiencia de los consumidores.
– Interfaces e interacciones sin contacto. Habrá una transición más rápida hacia interfaces de voz y visión artificial y métodos de pago sin contacto.
–Tele-medicina al alza. Las consultas y cuidados virtuales revolucionarán la atención sanitaria. Debido a que algunos centros han duplicado sus consultas mediante vídeo, podría ir más allá de la atención primaria.
–Fuerza de trabajo distribuida. Pasillos más amplios y de una sola dirección, mejor filtración del aire, ascensores controlados sin contacto o materiales antibacterianos en las nuevas construcciones son algunas medidas para la nueva oficina, que combinará trabajadores presenciales y remotos con mayor uso de tecnologías de videoconferencia y Colaboración.
–Redefiniendo la tele-enseñanza. A finales de marzo, cerca de 1.500 millones de estudiantes de 184 países pasaron a la enseñanza en remoto. El aprendizaje online ayuda a retener mejor la información y ahorra tiempo en desplazamientos, pero tanto escuelas como empresas deberán repensar el futuro de la formación teniendo en cuenta el bienestar físico y mental
–Auge de los eventos digitales. El valor de unir a las personas no ha desaparecido, pero el mecanismo para lograrlo es distinto. Las organizaciones cambiarán los eventos en persona por virtuales. Posteriormente aumentarán los eventos híbridos, con reuniones presenciales reducidas.
–Reevaluando las medidas temporales. La urgencia obligó a empresas y administraciones a adoptar medidas temporales, que ahora podrían convertirse en opciones estratégicas dentro de una nueva hoja de ruta centrada en modelos de negocio más resistentes y ágiles.
–Reforzando la infraestructura digital. Los niveles de tráfico de Internet previstos para 2022 se alcanzaron de repente; y las horas ‘pico’ de tráfico se han extendido a la mayor parte del día. Las empresas ampliarán el uso del cloud y del Software as a Service (SaaS), mientras la Inteligencia Artificial ayudará a automatizar las operaciones de redes complejas, aumentando su eficiencia y agilidad.
–Ciber-seguridad ante todo. Aunque la pandemia no ha implicado un aumento significativo de los ciberdelitos, Cisco Talos – ha detectado el uso del coronavirus como ingeniería social en la temática de los ataques de phising, fraude web y campañas de desinformación. La ciber-seguridad debe integrarse en las redes y apoyarse en tecnologías de automatización.
–Datos, automatización y robots. Aumentará el uso de robots en múltiples tareas como repartir alimentos, comprobar los signos vitales en centros sanitarios o mantener fábricas funcionando. Las tecnologías de IoT y Big Data serán cruciales para monitorizar futuras crisis sanitarias o situaciones excepcionales.
