Aunque el 81% de los profesionales de TI afirman que Covid-19 implica mayor estrés, el 87% lo ven como oportunidad según un estudio de AppDynamics, parte de Cisco.
La pandemia ha ejercido una gran presión sobre los profesionales de TI, quienes están acelerando el ritmo de la transformación digital de sus organizaciones para garantizar la continuidad de negocio.
De hecho, el 95% de los consultados han cambiado sus prioridades tecnológicas como consecuencia de la pandemia. Así se desprende del estudio global The Agents of Transformation de AppDynamics, una compañía de Cisco y el mayor proveedor mundial de soluciones de gestión del rendimiento de las aplicaciones.
El estudio -presentado durante el evento Cisco Live!- desvela cómo los departamentos de TI están facilitando el tele-trabajo a los empleados, garantizando la disponibilidad de redes y aplicaciones y reforzando la seguridad, al tiempo que asumen nuevas funciones y responsabilidades.
El 81% de los profesionales de TI afirman que Covid-19 ha creado la mayorpresión tecnológica para su departamento que jamás hayan experimentado.
El 66% de los encuestados confirman que la pandemia ha expuesto las fisuras de sus estrategias digitales, creando la necesidad urgente de acelerar los programas de transformación digital con hojas de ruta previas de incluso varios años.
El 88% de los profesionales de TI consideran la experiencia digital del cliente como su principal prioridad tecnológica. Sin embargo, no cuentan con los recursos necesarios para realizar este cambio de prioridad: ocho de cada diez no pueden ofrecer una experiencia óptima al cliente debido a la falta de visibilidad del rendimiento de sus soluciones tecnológicas. Los profesionales de TI demandan a sus organizaciones recursos y apoyo específicos para hacer frente a los desafíos que se les presentan. El 92% consideran que tener visibilidad y comprensión del rendimiento de las TI y su impacto en los clientes y el negocio es el factor más importante. Otras áreas clave en las que demandan apoyo son:
A pesar de la presión a la que se enfrentan profesionales de TI, el 87% consideran esta situación como una oportunidad para mostrar su valor a la empresa. Ocho de cada diez (el 80%) afirman que la respuesta de sus equipos de TI a la pandemia ha cambiado positivamente la percepción de las TI dentro de la empresa.
No obstante, para guiar a sus organizaciones durante la crisis, necesitan: tener acceso a los datos y mayor visibilidad para tomar decisiones más inteligentes; coordinarse con las estructuras internas y la cultura empresarial de forma adecuada; y recibir un especial soporte de los proveedores tecnológicos estratégicos.
En 2018, el Informe sobre los Agentes de Transformación desveló la necesidad de una nueva generación de tecnólogos, preparados para impulsar la innovación y transformación de negocio en sus organizaciones. En ese momento, el 45% de estos tecnólogos de élite, conocidos como Agentes de Transformación, se marcaban una transformación a diez años.
Como consecuencia de la pandemia, el objetivo debe ser alcanzado no en diez años, sino ahora. Y el 83% de los consultados consideran que su papel como Agentes de Transformación es fundamental para que las organizaciones puedan recuperarse rápidamente y realizar con éxito esta transición inmediata.
“Los tecnólogos se están adelantando a las necesidades de sus organizaciones, y ahora es responsabilidad de los directivos de negocio hacer todo lo posible para proporcionarles las herramientas, el liderazgo y el apoyo que necesitan para ofrecer las mejores experiencias digitales a sus clientes y empleados”, destaca Danny Winokur, Director General de AppDynamics. “Será la habilidad, la visión y el liderazgo de estos Agentes de Transformación lo que determinará cómo las empresas podrán superar esta crisis excepcional y salir reforzadas”.
