Las aplicaciones móviles ofrecen mejoras incrementales en la banca y un retorno acelerado (ROI) según el estudio Banking Apps Contribution, elaborado por la consultora Smartme Analytics. Según sus conclusiones, las apps ayudan a mejorar la valoración de la entidad por los usuarios, favorecen la contratación de nuevos productos y fidelizan a los clientes.
El estudio relaciona y cuantifica el efecto de ciertos factores como el número de bancos con los que trabaja el usuario, el uso que realiza de la aplicación móvil y el nivel de engagement.
El informe señala que el 59,5% de la población española con smartphone utilizó aplicaciones financieras en el primer semestre de 2019, lo que supone que más de la mitad de los clientes resolvieron alguna de sus necesidades con los bancos a través de su app móvil. Este dato coloca, además, a Finanzas como el cuarto sector más utilizado en el teléfono, detrás de Redes Sociales, Comunicación y Retail. Según el estudio, el 51,2% de los usuarios móviles trabaja con más de un banco y tiene diferentes necesidades y exigencias para cada uno.
La valoración media de los bancos españoles por parte de sus clientes se sitúa en 7,4 sobre 10, según el informe. Esta valoración refleja el nivel de satisfacción de los usuarios respecto a los servicios que les ofrece el banco.
La probabilidad de contratar otros productos se sitúa en un 6,4 sobre 10. Este dato tiene un significado positivo y está relacionado con la satisfacción del servicio ofrecido.
La probabilidad media de cambiar a otro banco entre los usuarios de apps móviles fue de 4,5 sobre 10 en el primer semestre de 2019, según el estudio. Este indicador refleja los niveles de insatisfacción o la falta de cobertura de necesidades y servicios de la entidad.
Tanto la contratación de nuevos productos como la probabilidad de cambiar de Banco son muy relevantes para las entidades financieras, ya que de ellos depende el futuro y la estabilidad de su negocio.
El objetivo de Smartme Analytics con este estudio es poder cuantificar el efecto positivo de una buena app móvil en el negocio, conocer el potencial efecto negativo de una app poco competitiva, y saber qué buscan los usuarios en una app financiera. El informe ofrece respuesta a estas cuestiones al conocer la posición que cada Banco ocupa en el ranking personal del usuario (primer banco, segundo banco, etc…), el uso que realiza de la aplicación y el nivel de engagement con la aplicación móvil, en caso de usarla.
Según los resultados del estudio, el 51,2% de la población española admite tener más de un banco. Además, el 31% de los españoles mantiene sus finanzas en dos entidades y el 20,2% trabaja con más dos bancos.
El estudio señala que el primer banco es valorado un 9,9% más que el segundo y hasta un 19,6% más que el tercero. Esta valoración ofrece un valor añadido, ya que la probabilidad de cambiar a otro banco es un 12,9% menor con el primer banco respecto al segundo y un 20,2% menor respecto al tercero. El mayor salto se da en la probabilidad contratar más productos con el mismo banco, que se sitúa en 22,6% más respecto al segundo y en un 28,2% respecto al tercero.
El uso de las apps móviles mejora claramente todos los KPI de negocio según el estudio. Así, los españoles que usan la app de su banco lo valoran un 7,5% más que aquellos que no la usan. Además, la probabilidad de cambiar a otra entidad es un 16,3% inferior entre los usuarios de la aplicación móvil que entre los que no la usan. La probabilidad de volver a contratar en el mismo banco es un 7,4% más alta entre los usuarios de la app que entre los que no la usan.
Por otra parte, el 73,0% de los clientes que usaron aplicaciones móviles de enero a junio de 2019 sólo usaron una única app de finanzas, mientras que el 20,9% usaron dos aplicaciones y el 6,1% más de dos. Cuando el cliente tiene un nivel alto de engagement, por encima del 65%, la valoración global de su banco es un 4,0% más alta que con un nivel medio (30%-65%) y un 9,9% mayor que los que tienen un nivel bajo (menos de un 30%).
Para Lola Chicón, CEO de Smartme Analytics, “ser el banco más relevante en el canal móvil se traduce no sólo en la mejora de la valoración general por parte de los usuarios sino también en contar con una mayor consideración e intención de compra de nuevos productos y servicios financieros”. Además, disponer de métricas 360º sobre el uso de apps de servicios financieros “ayuda a saber si existen otras entidades que estén proporcionando mayor engagement en ciertos grupos de clientes, en ciertas áreas geográficas, o en determinadas geolocalizaciones”, añade.
