Expertos y líderes del sector público y privado abordarán los principales desafíos de las ciudades 4.0, donde los cambios normativos y las tecnologías están evolucionando la configuración de los entornos urbanos en el foro Cities & Public Sector celebrado durante DES-Digital Enterprise Show (DES2019), el mayor encuentro internacional sobre empresa digital que se celebrará en Madrid (IFEMA) del 21 al 23 de mayo.
La aceleración en el desarrollo urbanístico y demográfico que están viviendo los núcleos urbanos, junto con la creciente preocupación por conseguir una gestión sostenible de los recursos disponibles, están situando a la tecnología como palanca de cambio en la configuración de las ciudades para responder a estas necesidades sociales. “Las ‘smart cities’ están así en el centro del debate entre empresas, administraciones públicas y ciudadanos, para establecer los modelos de ciudad que se quieren desarrollar y que responderán de la forma más eficaz a las principales preocupaciones de sostenibilidad y movilidad de la sociedad actual”, comenta Lluís Altés, Managing Director DES-Digital Enterprise Show 2019.
Cristian Citu, experto del World Economic Forum, protagonizará una de las ponencias más esperadas del foro bajo el título “Transformación digital y colaboración público-privada”. El experto mundial pondrá el foco en las nuevas posibilidades de colaboración entre organizaciones públicas y el sector privado que se abren con las nuevas tecnologías para desarrollar nuevos modelos de ciudad. Citu, también hablará de cómo estas tecnologías están redefiniendo la relación entre la administración y los ciudadanos.
El ciudadano conectado: un agente activo
El papel del ciudadano cobrará especial relevancia en esta cuarta edición de DES. La inversión en la digitalización de los servicios públicos está permitiendo a las administraciones recopilar una mayor cantidad de información sobre los ciudadanos, sus opiniones sobre la calidad del servicio e ideas de mejora, con un coste menor que los métodos tradicionales. Estos temas centrarán el debate de Chris Pennell, Director de IDC en su ponencia “Transformando digitalmente la experiencia ciudadana”.
“Los impulsores de las cities 4.0 deben contar con un compromiso firme de los ciudadanos, por eso desde la administración local hay que trabajar en una estrategia aglutinadora que les permita ver los beneficios de la innovación en su vida cotidiana y en la mejora de su bienestar”, comenta Altés.
El siguiente panel contará con la presencia de Stephan de Hass, Head of Ideation & Co-Creation de T-Systems; Martha Thorne, Directora Ejecutiva del Premio Pritzker de Arquitectura y Decana de IE -Escuela de Architectura; Ron Van de Lans, Director del Programa de la ciudad de Ámsterdam, y Alfonso Vergara, Fundador y Presidente de la Fundación Metrópoli. Bajo el título “Las ciudades del siglo 20, los retos del siglo 21. Diseñando la nueva vida urbana”, y moderados por Chris Pennell (IDC), estos expertos abordarán cómo las ciudades están afrontando su transformación a nivel global, cuáles son los riesgos que afronta y qué nuevos servicios deben ofrecer, así como los nuevos estándares y qué tipo de alianzas y ecosistemas se están creando.
Alemania y Ámsterdam presentan sus proyectos de ciudades del futuro
A continuación, el experto de T-Systems Stephan de Hass, tomará el relevo con su ponencia “Experiencia de co-creación con ciudades y municipios en Alemania”. En ella compartirá con los asistentes al congreso, el trabajo desarrollado por el Grupo Deutsche Telekom en colaboración con el Smart City Executive Program de Alemania, en el diseño de la ciudad del futuro. Un proyecto que cuenta con el apoyo de las Naciones Unidas, y que se ha llevado a cabo de forma conjunta en 42 ciudades con la participación activa de los ciudadanos, empleados y proveedores de soluciones IT.
Por su parte, Ron Van de Lans, Director del Programa de la ciudad de Ámsterdam, explicará cómo se ha desarrollado el concepto de Smart City de la ciudad en los últimos 3 años, usando las nuevas tecnologías y logrando sinergias entre los empleados del sector público con empresas internacionales como Google o Booking, entre otras; en la ponencia “Innovación CTO: la clave del éxito de Amsterdam Smart City”.
El foco español lo pondrán los representantes de los Ayuntamientos de Valencia y Villalba en el debate “Conectando los puntos urbanos. La automatización de la ciudad”. Presentado por Juan Corro, VP Strategy and Business Development de SAYME, y con la participación de Ramón Ferri, Smart City Officer del Ayuntamiento de Valencia; Tomás Llorente, New Technologies Coordinator del Ayundamiento de Villaba, y Stefan Junestrand, CEO del Grupo Tecma Red; este panel pondrá el foco en el papel clave que tienen los líderes de las ciudades para diseñar el nuevo modelo a partir de tecnologías emergentes como la Inteligencia Artificial.
DES2019 reúne en Madrid, del 21 al 23 de mayo, a 23.000 profesionales de más de 50 países, y a delegaciones empresariales de Alemania, país invitado de esta edición, EE.UU., Suecia, India, Brasil o China, entre otras.
