Esta es una de las conclusiones del III informe ‘El futuro de la aceptación de pagos’ que ha presentado UniversalPay, compañía especializada en soluciones de pago, tras haber analizado una muestra de 500 comercios físicos y plataformas online, en su mayoría pymes del sector servicios de todo el país, y haber realizado encuestas a más de 500 consumidores de entre 18 y 65 años durante el último año.
El estudio, que se centra en las tendencias de los comercios a la hora de aceptar pagos, así como en los hábitos y preferencias de los consumidores en el momento de efectuar sus compras, tiene como objetivo conocer los próximos retos de las pymes españolas a lo largo de este año.
El informe destaca que las transacciones con tarjeta han experimentado un aumento en el último año en términos absolutos de más de 40 puntos. En concreto, el pago con plástico tradicional es la forma favorita para efectuar compras habituales para el 72% de los compradores encuestados. Por su parte, las transacciones con tarjetas sin contacto es ya la tercera opción de pago, por detrás del efectivo, con un 21%.
Ante el crecimiento y la consolidación del pago con tarjeta y del contactless, prácticamente la totalidad de las pymes aceptan el pago con plástico y el 78% de ellas permiten el pago sin contacto, un servicio que además es el más valorado por los negocios, con un 64%, justo el doble que el siguiente más valorado, el pago móvil.
En este sentido, el 43,5% de los comercios considera que el pago móvil será el más utilizado en 2020, un porcentaje que se dispara hasta el 60% si hablamos de aquí a cinco años. En efecto, según “El futuro de los pagos” el 15% de los consumidores ya utiliza a diario el pago móvil y, de ellos, casi la mitad lo hace a través de la aplicación digital de su banco. Muchos de estos compradores, aunque en el momento de efectuar el pago utilicen otras opciones, utilizan el teléfono móvil dentro de la tienda física para buscar información de productos o comparar precios. En concreto, el 50,6% de los usuarios afirman hacerlo habitualmente, 12 puntos porcentuales más que el año pasado e, incluso, el 20% de los consumidores afirman comprar vía online lo que han visto previamente en tienda física.
Esta interconexión de canales revela también un cambio de tendencia: de la omnicanalidad del comercio al canal unificado. En la actualidad, según este estudio, el 36% de los comercios tienen integrados en un mismo reporte los canales offline y online, aunque cada vez son más los negocios que buscan la integración de todos los canales y procesos para optimizar costes y mejorar la experiencia de usuario. Según UniversalPay, la clave para conseguirlo es “la adopción e implantación de un sistema integrado de pagos que automatice las operativas diarias y reduzca tiempos de gestión”. En este sentido, destacan que “la experiencia de comercio unificado es el gran desafío y el reto del sector retail en la actualidad”.
Esta unificación será clave también, según este informe, para el incremento de la seguridad en los pagos digitales. A pesar de que el 60% de las empresas no ha sufrido fraude en el último año y el 80% de los consumidores perciben el pago online como seguro, el 43% de los comercios consideran fundamental ampliar las medidas de seguridad con CV2 o 3D Secure y el 60% de los consumidores valoraría la implementación de la biometría en este sentido, además de otros sistemas como la tokenización.
Aunque el eCommerce es ya un hábito en la operativa diaria de los españoles y el mCommerce o comercio móvil se consolida año tras año, la muestra revela que empieza a utilizarse una fórmula de compra venta a través de la voz: el Voice Commerce, que tiene su origen en las búsquedas por voz en internet pero que en la actualidad apenas un 10% de usuarios hacen uso de ella, y no necesariamente para adquirir productos. No obstante, recuerdan desde UniversalPay, que “la implementación de los chatbots y los nuevos sistemas de reconocimiento de voz auguran un potencial de crecimiento importante para el vCommerce en los próximos años”.
El mismo estudio recuerda también la importancia de adoptar servicios de pago que favorezcan la compra venta internacional, tanto para turistas en tiendas físicas, como para abrir las plataformas online a compradores en todo el mundo. En este sentido, solo el 35% de los comercios físicos cuentan con el servicio DCC, que garantiza el proceso de pago en diferentes monedas tanto para el cliente como para el comercio, un porcentaje que disminuye hasta el 18% en tienda virtual y que apenas ronda el 10% en los dos canales de un solo comercio. Aunque la mayoría de estas cifras hacen relación a comercios pertenecientes al sector turístico, desde Universalpay insisten en que “ante el cambio de perfil del turista internacional, que cada vez tiene estancias más cortas, viaja más y gasta más, el sistema DCC también aporta valor añadido a los comercios de barrio”.
En la elaboración del III informe ‘El futuro de la aceptación de pagos’, han participado agentes reconocidos de la industria de pagos como Visa, Mastercard, Liberbank y ClearONE, que auguran un futuro de innovación y seguridad basado pagos tokenizados y biométricos.
