El próximo martes 16 de abril se celebra el Día Mundial del Emprendimiento. Esta efeméride pretende dar visibilidad a uno de los sectores más en auge en todo el mundo, que revoluciona el tejido industrial global cada día, con nuevos productos y formas de hacer negocio. Con motivo de la celebración de este día, el ecosistema especializado en talento joven TRIVU ha analizado, con datos propios y de terceros, cuál es el panorama de startups y emprendedores en España.
“Cada vez es más habitual ver a jóvenes españoles iniciando sus propios proyectos, reinventando industrias y creando riqueza y empleo”, ha destacado el CEO y fundador de TRIVU, Pablo González Ruiz de la Torre.“Lamentablemente, montar una startup en España es más complicado que en otros países, por lo que es muy importante que exista una fecha como el Día del Emprendimiento, que nos dé visibilidad y ponga sobre la mesa la necesidad de crear más ayudas e iniciativas que fomenten el emprendimiento”.
Estas son las claves del emprendimiento en España:
Edad media e intención de emprender: el proyecto Global Entrepreneuship Monitor (GEM) cifra en 38,4 años la edad media del emprendedor en España y cerca del 60% son hombres. Se trata de un perfil joven cuya edad no parece que vaya a ir aumentando con los próximos años, puesto que cada vez son más y más jóvenes los potenciales emprendedores. Según una reciente encuesta elaborada por TRIVU entre menores de 30 años, un 35% de ellos está decidido a emprender su propio negocio. Eso sí, ser empleado en una startup no resulta tan sexy como montar una propia, ya que solo el 6% de los encuestados se ve trabajando en una por cuenta ajena en los próximos 10 años.
Nivel de estudios y visión de la enseñanza: casi la mitad de los emprendedores españoles tiene formación universitaria. Concretamente, los emprendedores identificados en fase inicial (49,2%) y los emprendedores potenciales (49,4%) tienen formación específica para crear empresas, según GEM. Sin embargo, esto podría ir cambiando con el paso de los años, puesto que parece que los jóvenes españoles no ven como un requisito indispensable conseguir un título para emprender, según el sondeo de TRIVU: solo un 14% tiene como objetivo inamovible terminar sus estudios antes de montar una empresa.
En ese sentido, se aprecia cierta desconexión con las instituciones de enseñanza tradicionales y se ve necesario profesores con más experiencia real. De esta forma, el 52% considera importante que los profesores de universidad estén activos en el mundo profesional, el 81% quiere tener asignaturas que puedan aplicarse al puesto laboral que vaya a tener y el 67% quiere “aprender cómo es el mundo real, no el de la Universidad o el colegio».
Regiones favoritas para emprender en España: las ciudades españolas que cuentan con las mejores condiciones para emprender son, según los encuestados por TRIVU y Uniplaces, las grandes capitales. Madrid, lidera el ranking con un 45% de los emprendedores, seguida por Barcelona (38%) y Valencia (7%).
Expansión internacional: una de las claves de una startup para su crecimiento es que sea escalable. Que el modelo pueda crecer y exportarse a otros países para que, de esta forma, el crecimiento no se detenga. De esta forma, dar el salto internacional es uno de los principales objetivos de la mayoría de los emprendedores. En este sentido, según la encuesta de TRIVU y Uniplaces los destinos favoritos fuera de España son Estados Unidos y Alemania (21% de los consultados), Australia (17%) y Reino Unido (10%).
Tipo de startups más populares: la venta online se ha convertido en una de las vías para emprender más populares y accesibles a la hora de montar una startup. De esta forma, diversos sectores, como la salud o la belleza, han visto en el mundo digital una oportunidad para reducir precios y acabar con modelos hasta ahora anquilosados. Así, los marketplaces son el negocio favorito de los emprendedores españoles, pues 4 de cada 10 jóvenes se plantea lanzar este tipo de empresa digital. Le siguen consultoría (24%), hoteles y diseño (14% en ambos casos).
Aceleradoras y proyectos corporativos: según la Guía de Inversión para Startups 2018-2019, el año pasado ya había 156 aceleradoras de startups identificadas en España. Sin embargo, aunque la mayoría son iniciativas independientes impulsadas por inversores privados, en un 25% de los casos se trata de proyectos vinculados a grandes grupos y corporaciones. Esto quiere decir que el emprendimiento y los jóvenes emprendedores se han convertido en un motor importante de crecimiento e innovación para las compañías más tradicionales, que ven en las startups una forma de atraer talento y abrir nuevas líneas de negocio. La inversión en España en startups el año pasado fue de 1.227,09 millones de euros, según este mismo informe.
Financiación mínima y dónde se busca: de media, el gasto mínimo para arrancar una startup oscila entre los 4.000 y los 5.000 euros, dependiendo de la actividad y necesidades de espacio y personal, solo para los gastos de constitución de la empresa, registro de marca, gestoría, etc. En este sentido, el 31% de los encuestados por TRIVU y Uniplaces considera que les bastará con menos de 5.000 euros de presupuesto y el mismo porcentaje asegura que para iniciar su proyecto necesitarán entre 5.000 y 10.000 euros.
