El proceso de transformación digital en las empresas está entrando en una nueva fase de madurez en la región europea, con reflejo ya en los modelos de negocio y en una mayor apuesta por iniciativas digitales. En España, la evolución de la digitalización está en fase de confirmación, situándose el país entre los tres que más han progresado en los últimos cuatro años en este aspecto, según el último Índice de la Economía y la Sociedad Digitales de la Comisión Europea.
En este escenario, resulta esencial desde la perspectiva de los directivos, incluyendo al responsable de sistemas, buscar las vías para que los beneficios que la transformación digital puede aportar se dejen notar también en la partida económica. Para esto, hay una serie de prácticas que se deben de tener en cuenta y, en la medida de lo posible, potenciar, como estas que recoge The Valley, hub de conocimiento especializado en las nuevas tendencias digitales.
– Reconocer y fomentar la importancia de que haya un cambio cultural parejo a la digitalización, en el que se involucren los valores corporativos y se avance en una visión centrada en el cliente. Para esto, es esencial conseguir implicar a toda la plantilla, haciendo que integren las nociones digitales como parte de sus rutinas de trabajo.
– En el proceso de hacer realidad este cambio, es esencial el papel de responsables de todos los departamentos. El de sistemas, como el que mejor domina los conocimientos asociados a la digitalización, pero también el CEO como máximo coordinador y figura central; el de recursos humanos, como encargado del personal o el CFO, que debe enfocar los trabajos precisamente en su reflejo en la monetización. El hub advierte de la conveniencia de implicar en este proceso tanto a profesionales con experiencia como a otros de perfil junior, para que se retroalimenten y se integren. Y de un punto muy importante: conseguir involucrar a la parte de la plantilla más reacia al cambio, que pueden convertirse en un escollo importante para dar el salto definitivo a la digitalización y a su monetización.
– A nivel de organización, es importante coordinar la explotación de los recursos propios con la innovación, lo que se consigue, según The Valley, poniendo en marcha la «ambidestreza» corporativa. Esto requiere hacer un balance correcto entre las actividades y procesos que la compañía ya tiene en marcha y los nuevos recursos, de tal forma que se consiga mantener el nivel de gasto sin que sobrepase las posibilidades.
En conjunto, se trata de apostar por una serie de prácticas que incrementen las posibilidades de que la transformación digital se refleje lo antes posible en la economía de la empresa.
