El Centro Mundial de Competitividad de la escuela de negocios IMD elaboró un listado sobre la competitividad digital a nivel mundial analizando la situación de 63 economías donde Estados Unidos ocupa la primera posición y España el 31º.
Desde el periodo 2014-2015, cuando España ocupaba el puesto 29, nuestro país ha descendido dos posiciones, situándose ahora en el 31.
Este informe evalúa en qué medida un país adopta las tecnologías digitales causantes del cambio en las prácticas gubernamentales y los modelos de negocio a través de 50 indicadores distribuidos en tres categorías: conocimiento, tecnología y preparación futura.
Los puntos fuertes de España se encuentran en los indicadores de participación electrónica (e-participation), integración de las tecnologías de la información en el Gobierno (e-government) y el ratio de alumnos por profesor en la enseñanza superiorPor contra, los peores resultados se encuentran en las áreas de el uso de big data y analytics y además acumula también malos datos en el marco regulatorio y tecnológico, la capacidad de adaptación y la integración de tecnologías de la información.
El top cinco lo ocupan Estados Unidos, que sube dos posiicones, Singapur, Suecia, Dinamarca y Suiza. Por la cola se encuentran Ucrania, que ocupa la posición 58 ; Colombia, que desciende de la posición 58 a la 59 ; mejora Perú, que escala del puesto 62 al 60; le sigue Mongolia, que ocupa el puesto 61, Indonesia, que ocupa el 62 y el último país según el Ranking es Venezuela, que tiene la peor puntuación en todos los indicadores digitales.
España funciona según el DESI
En el Índice de Economía y Sociedad Digital de la Comisión Europea (conocido por sus siglas DESI) España mejora notablemente ocupando ahora el décimo puesto en desarrollo digital, frente al decimosexto que ocupaba hasta la fecha, superando a otros grandes países de la Unión como Alemania (en el puesto 14), Francia (18) e Italia (25), manteniéndose, eso sí, por detrás de otros como Reino Unido (7).
El informe destaca la buena marcha de España en administración electrónica, al situar a este país en cuarta posición en el indicador de servicios públicos digitales. “Esta puntuación favorable guarda relación con el Plan de transformación digital de la Administración, que refuerza y aporta más calidad a este tipo de servicios que se ofrecen al ciudadano”, interpretan desde el Ministerio de Industria. “Prueba de ello es la mejora sustancial en los servicios públicos digitales para negocios y en la realización de servicios online, escalando de la undécima posición a la tercera y sexta respectivamente”, reza un comunicado de esta cartera.
En lo que respecta a la integración de la tecnología digital en las empresas, España se sitúa en el séptimo puesto (al que asciende desde el 10). Las empresas españolas resaltan sobre todo por su uso de la factura electrónica (sexta posición) y de las redes sociales (séptimo puesto). Durante 2017, hay un 5% más de empresas del país que ha empezado a usar el modelo cloud de suministro de tecnología.
