Salesforce ha revelado que el 85% de los líderes en tecnología de la información anticipan un aumento en la productividad de los desarrolladores, en los próximos tres años, gracias a la inteligencia artificial. Esta noticia es particularmente alentadora, considerando que el informe también destaca un incremento del 39% en las solicitudes de servicios de TI en el último año.
No obstante, el 62% de estos líderes expresan que sus organizaciones aún no están completamente preparadas para integrar eficientemente los sistemas de datos y aprovechar al máximo la inteligencia artificial, lo que está generando obstáculos en la transición y añadiendo presión adicional a sus equipos.
Adicionalmente, el estudio anual Connectivity Benchmark Report de MuleSoft, revela que el 98% de las organizaciones de TI enfrentan algún tipo de desafío en su proceso de transformación digital. Entre estos desafíos, el 80% destaca la preocupación por los silos de datos, mientras que el 72% se enfrenta a sistemas interdependientes.
“El potencial de la IA depende de los datos que las organizaciones puedan conectar con ella y los resultados que esto les permita obtener. Y estos son, fundamentalmente, los retos de integración y automatización a los que se enfrentan las empresas. Este estudio demuestra que los líderes de equipos de TI van tomando conciencia de que su capacidad para hacer operativa la IA, así como aumentar el valor empresarial y del cliente, dependerá de su capacidad para integrarla con los sistemas ya existentes y, de esta forma, generar nuevas oportunidades de crecimiento”, afirma Ricardo Usaola, Vicepresidente de MuleSoft Iberia.
El éxito de una estrategia basada en inteligencia artificial (IA) se encuentra intrínsecamente vinculado a la implementación de planes robustos para la integración de datos, lo que contribuye a mejorar la eficiencia operativa, la productividad y las experiencias tanto de empleados como de clientes.
Los silos de datos conforman importantes barreras para el progreso y el valor de un negocio, y el 81% de los encuestados afirma que obstaculizan los esfuerzos de transformación digital. Como resultado, se necesita cada vez más una mejor integración para unificar todos los datos empresariales, estructurados y no estructurados. De esta forma, será posible impulsar y desplegar herramientas de IA fiables y relevantes para todas las funciones empresariales.
Frecuentemente, los equipos de TI asumen el papel de impulsores en la adopción de la automatización, aunque aún muestran precaución al permitir que otras partes de la empresa sean autosuficientes. De hecho, solo el 22% de los líderes de TI han ajustado su estrategia para facilitar a los usuarios la integración de aplicaciones y fuentes de datos a través de APIs. Esta cautela se ve agravada por la falta de habilidades en los equipos de TI, lo que representa un desafío adicional. Superar esta brecha a través de la colaboración estratégica y la actualización de conocimientos se vuelve esencial para que las organizaciones aprovechen al máximo la automatización, tanto en términos de innovación como de eficiencia.
Las APIs facilitan el acceso ágil a los datos, impulsando el crecimiento mediante la conexión directa con diversas aplicaciones y sistemas. De hecho, aproximadamente el 33% de los ingresos totales se generan a través de APIs y servicios relacionados, una cifra que se ha mantenido constante en los últimos tres años:
