El mercado de la cloud pública podría generar en España 5.143 millones de euros para 2025.
Los modelos operativos en la nube continúan siendo el enfoque predominante entre las organizaciones españolas durante este 2022, fundamentalmente por la relevancia que estos modelos representan en las iniciativas de transformación digital. De hecho, según el reciente estudio ‘Cloud y resiliencia de los datos: Aspectos clave en el nuevo contexto de TI’ de IDC España patrocinado por Evolutio, el mercado español de cloud podría alcanzar los 2.875 millones de euros para 2022, con una tasa de crecimiento anual compuesto del 21,9% entre 2021 y 2025. Resulta significativo que, del gasto total en iniciativas de transformación digital en 2021, el 24% ya correspondió a soluciones cloud.
Según la encuesta europea Future Enterprise Resiliency and Spending Survey de IDC, cerca de la mitad de las organizaciones españolas entrevistadas están invirtiendo en múltiples estrategias de nube, asignando capacidades y recursos a través de diversas nubes, lo que refuerza la tendencia de que éste es un mercado que crece en todos los segmentos (IaaS, PaaS y SaaS).
Adicionalmente, el 32% pretende buscar una experiencia sin fricciones entre las múltiples nubes, sin preocupaciones sobre la ubicación de los datos y aplicaciones, y lo que es más importante, logrando el máximo impacto empresarial a través del acceso a los datos de forma segura, utilizando una amplia gama de recursos que permiten una mayor agilidad y resiliencia. Por otra parte, solamente una de cada diez empresas españolas adopta un enfoque simple en el que a través de una sola plataforma esperan acceder a una amplia gama de servicios para satisfacer la demanda de diferentes stakeholders de sus organizaciones.

Por su parte, el mercado de cloud pública también crece rápidamente en España. Según los datos que desvela IDC, este segmento podría llegar hasta los 5.143 millones de euros para 2025, con una tasa de crecimiento anual compuesto del 21.9%. El motivo radica en que la nube pública es el entorno más popular y común para implementar aplicaciones y servicios empresariales de una manera rentable, fácil de usar y escalable.
No obstante, las organizaciones no solo están moviendo sus cargas de trabajo desde entornos on premise a la nube pública, sino que también buscan múltiples opciones de nube, ya sea pública, privada, híbrida, multinube o contenedores, en función de sus requerimientos operativos y regulatorios.
La gestión de la nube híbrida se erigirá en un área de inversión importante para las organizaciones europeas. Y para lograr una adecuada política de gestión de costes en la nube que se alinee con sus estrategias empresariales, la implementación de capacidades de FinOps y CloudOps comienza a despegar. Estas capacidades de gestión de la nube ayudan a brindar una optimización de costes, disponibilidad, flexibilidad, seguridad unificada, gestión basada en políticas, movilidad de los datos y excelencia operativa. En relación con esto, el control de costes es fundamental para mantener el crecimiento de la organización, especialmente cuando se trata de generar la resiliencia que permite navegar tiempos de incertidumbre geopolítica y económica como los actuales.
Por estas razones, la cloud híbrida está siendo predominante en las organizaciones porque justamente ayuda a abordar esas necesidades.

Así, las empresas pueden incorporar resiliencia y agilidad a sus procesos y operaciones, mejorando su planificación y adquiriendo todas las capacidades necesarias para afrontar distintos escenarios, incluyendo disrupciones que afecten a sus procesos más críticos”, comenta Jacinto Cavestany, CEO de Evolutio.
La resiliencia digital es vital para que las organizaciones se adapten rápidamente en un mundo volátil, incierto, complejo y ambiguo (VUCA). A medida que aumenta la dependencia de las organizaciones en los datos para generar modelos de negocio digitales, la resiliencia de los datos se está convirtiendo en un imperativo estratégico para el CIO. Según IDC, las organizaciones europeas citaron la satisfacción del cliente y la eficiencia operativa como sus dos principales prioridades de negocio, las cuales dependen de una sólida resiliencia de los datos.

La integridad y la calidad de los datos, la disponibilidad de los mismos, la protección de datos entre nubes, la movilidad de los datos y la resiliencia cibernética son las 5 capacidades principales que las organizaciones buscan desarrollar para garantizar la resiliencia de la información. Esto indica que casi todos los aspectos del ciclo de vida de los datos deben ser robustos para alcanzar dicha resiliencia.
Desde la perspectiva de gestión de datos se requiere de una protección unificada en cloud que otorgue la capacidad de mover datos a través de entornos híbridos de múltiples nubes y la capacidad de recuperarse de ataques de ciberseguridad como el ransomware. Desde una perspectiva de estrategia de datos, las organizaciones buscan mejorar las capacidades, el acceso, la calidad y la disponibilidad de los datos para garantizar la resiliencia de los mismos.
