Este sector seguirá creciendo a una tasa anual compuesta del 21.9% entre 2021 y 2025, lo que supondrá facturar ese año 5.143 millones de euros en cloud pública.
El próximo año una de cada dos empresas generará el 40% de sus ingresos mediante la venta de nuevos productos o servicios digitales. Por ello, acelerar la migración al cloud es el principal paso que deben abordar las empresas para poder competir en este nuevo escenario digital actual. Más allá de adoptar un enfoque abierto hacia la tecnología que mejora directamente las operaciones, los procesos, y los servicios, el paso a la nube trae una serie de retos que las organizaciones deben abordar: incrementar el rendimiento de aplicaciones y procesos de la organización, eficiencia en costes, incremento de la seguridad alrededor de la privacidad y soberanía del dato, y todo ello en un contexto donde la sostenibilidad se ha convertido en un imperativo para el 72% de la organizaciones por su impacto directo en la eficiencia energética y el cumplimiento de los objetivos ESG. Ante este panorama IDC España pronostica en su nuevo estudio “Potenciando la nube: cómo extraer todo el potencial de la nube en beneficio de su negocio”, patrocinado por OVHcloud y AMD, que el mercado español de cloud pública alcanzará los 2.875 millones de euros al final de 2022, con una tasa de crecimiento anual compuesto del 21.9% entre 2021 y 2025, que conducirá a una facturación de 5.143 millones de euros.
En este documento, IDC explica que esto se debe especialmente a que la nube pública es el entorno más popular y común para implementar aplicaciones y servicios empresariales de una manera rentable, fácil de usar y escalable, lo que permite dar respuesta a los retos actuales de la organización, más allá de los departamentos técnicos, donde se requiere el despliegue de aplicaciones de manera más rápida y eficiente. Por ello, el segmento de PaaS crecerá un 32% en el periodo 2022-2025, por su impacto en el incremento de la agilidad y resiliencia empresarial.
Sin embargo, las organizaciones no solo están moviendo sus cargas de trabajo desde entornos on-premise a la nube pública, sino que también buscan múltiples opciones de nube, ya sea pública, privada, híbrida, multinube o contenedores, en función de los requerimientos operativos y regulatorios de cada organización.
Según la encuesta europea Future Enterprise Resiliency and Spending Survey de IDC, las organizaciones españolas están invirtiendo en múltiples estrategias de nube (46%), asignando capacidades y recursos a través de múltiples nubes. Adicionalmente, el 32% busca una experiencia sin fricciones entre las múltiples nubes, sin preocupaciones sobre la ubicación de los datos y aplicaciones, y lo que es más importante, logrando el máximo impacto empresarial a través del acceso a los datos de forma segura, utilizando una amplia gama de recursos.
En este sentido, la integridad, calidad, disponibilidad, protección de datos entre nubes, movilidad y resiliencia cibernética son las cinco capacidades principales que las organizaciones buscan desarrollar para garantizar la resiliencia de los datos. Esto indica que casi todos los aspectos del ciclo de vida de los datos deben ser robustos para alcanzar dicha resiliencia.
Desde la perspectiva de gestión de datos, se requiere de una protección unificada en cloud que otorgue la capacidad de mover datos a través de entornos híbridos de múltiples nubes y la capacidad de recuperarse de ataques de ciberseguridad como el ramsonware. Si hablamos de estrategia de datos, las organizaciones buscan mejorar las capacidades, acceso, calidad y disponibilidad de los datos para garantizar la resiliencia de estos.
En este contexto de evolución a la nube, la ciberseguridad se coloca como un imperativo de negocio en las agendas de los CIO. De hecho, el mercado apunta hacia un movimiento de la seguridad perimetral hacia la seguridad del dato, con la gobernanza del dato y el cumplimento normativo en el centro de las estrategias. La calidad, su movilidad entre nubes e incluso la soberanía del dato son lo más importante para las medianas empresas mientras que las grandes organizaciones se centran en la resiliencia cibernética. Por ello, no sorprende ver el crecimiento del 7.7% del mercado de seguridad en España respecto del año anterior (situándose en los 1.749,3M€), y con crecimiento sostenido de dos dígitos (11.8%) hasta 2025 donde se espera que supere la barrera de los 2.200M€Los segmentos de mayor crecimiento son los relativos a servicios gestionados de seguridad (11.8%), servicios de integración (11.8%) y servicios de red (10.6%).
En este escenario, la sostenibilidad ha adquirido un protagonismo capital, como lo demuestra que el 72% de las organizaciones ya la consideran como una de las tres principales prioridades de inversión en este 2022. Racionalizar, identificar y desacoplar las aplicaciones supondría un ahorro del 12%, por lo que es esencial contar con modelos de desarrollo de aplicaciones nativos en nube que permitan abordar el reto de incrementar la eficiencia energética. Como ejemplo, basta citar que la migración de aplicaciones y datos a la nube puede llegar a reducir el consumo de energía hasta un 30%. Conceptos como infraestructura compartida y eficiencia en la utilización de los servidores empiezan a abundar en las agendas de los CIOS para aumentar la eficiencia del coste.
Además, a medida que las empresas integran modelos de nube híbrida para ser más eficientes y ofrecer una mejor experiencia al cliente, la complejidad de las aplicaciones e infraestructuras existentes puede suponer un desafío, con complicaciones que van desde la gestión de múltiples plataformas en la nube a un rápido crecimiento de las cargas de trabajo en contenedores.
En definitiva, según IDC la situación actual está impulsando nuevas inversiones en infraestructura en soluciones que sean capaces de aumentar la eficiencia del coste, rebajar la complejidad y aumentar la agilidad del personal de TI.
