La implantación de las herramientas de las EdTech aporta un mayor atractivo al sector educativo que será capaz de generar experiencias de aprendizaje mucho más completas y flexibles en cualquier nivel de estudios.
Desde 2020 el uso de las nuevas tecnologías en el ámbito educativo se vio incrementado por la llegada de la pandemia. Las tabletas y ordenadores se convirtieron en herramientas imprescindibles, tanto es así, que los últimos datos del INE apuntan que el 96% de los hogares españoles tenía internet en 2021. Durante esta misma época, los centros formativos tuvieron que reinventarse para adaptarse a los nuevos tiempos y muchos de ellos echaron mano de las denominadas EdTech, herramientas tanto de software como de hardware que permiten optimizar y mejorar los procesos de enseñanza obteniendo mejores resultados.
La aplicación de la tecnología a la educación ha permitido una mayor accesibilidad al conocimiento ya que ha sacado el aprendizaje de las aulas y a su vez, ha dotado a estas de más herramientas para crear entornos donde el trabajo teórico y práctico pueden tener lugar en un mismo espacio gracias a tecnologías como la inteligencia artificial o la realidad virtual, que cada vez son más utilizadas en los colegios para generar mejores experiencias de aprendizaje.
La innovación en los sistemas educativos, entendida como la adopción de nuevos servicios, tecnologías y competencias por parte de las organizaciones educativas, contribuye a mejorar los resultados del aprendizaje, aumentar la equidad y mejorar la eficiencia. Asimismo, aporta una mayor flexibilidad para los alumnos e invita a una mayor participación, lo que aumenta el interés de estos por continuar sus estudios.
Por este motivo, la inversión en EdTech no ha dejado de crecer desde 2020 e instituciones como la Unión Europea buscan dar un salto educativo durante la actual década y han lanzado un Plan de Acción de Educación Digital (2021-2027) con el que se busca fomentar el desarrollo de un ecosistema educativo digital de alto rendimiento y mejorar las competencias y capacidades digitales para la transformación digital con el objetivo de hacer un mejor uso de la tecnología digital para la enseñanza y el aprendizaje.
De cara al nuevo año escolar, se espera ver el resultado de planes e inversiones en todos los niveles de enseñanza. Desde escuelas de negocios que continúan apostando por modelos híbridos, con espacio para innovar y utilizar nuevas herramientas como la inteligencia artificial en sus formaciones, como escuelas de educación obligatoria, en las que cada vez es más habitual ver herramientas como impresoras 3D y en las que este curso se empezará a impartir las asignaturas de programación y robótica en Educación Infantil, Primaria y ESO. Por otro lado, los modelos híbridos y flexibles, con experiencias virtuales continúan siendo los más demandados por alumnos que ya forman parte del mundo laboral pero que buscan reciclarse o actualizar sus conocimientos, y precisamente muchos de estos buscan formaciones para estar al día para la transformación digital y tecnológica que está teniendo lugar en todos los sectores.
