A medida que el trabajo híbrido se expande más allá de los límites de la oficina y nuestra forma de trabajar es cada vez más digital, aumenta el número de puntos de entrada que hacen más fácil que los ciberdelincuentes accedan a nuestros datos. Para combatir estas amenazas, las empresas y organizaciones necesitan contar con las bases adecuadas. No hacerlo puede exponerlas no sólo a violaciones de la seguridad, sino a daños financieros y de reputación.
Las leyes y normativas sobre protección de datos y privacidad son, con razón, cada vez más duras. Desde mayo de 2018 se han impuesto en la Unión Europea 800 multas por incumplimiento del RGPD, y solo en el tercer trimestre de 2021 las multas por el RGPD se acercaron al billón de euros.
Todo ello antes de mencionar los rescates pagados. Darkside, la famosa entidad de piratería informática, supuestamente obtuvo más de 90 millones de dólares en pagos por rescates en el último año.
El impacto financiero de una gran violación de seguridad o privacidad puede ser enorme, pero también puede afectar a la reputación de una organización. Es menos probable que los clientes quieran trabajar con una empresa de la que se sabe que ha tenido filtraciones de datos o ha expuesto información personal. Entonces, ¿qué pueden hacer las empresas para evitar que las cosas lleguen a este punto?
Educar a los empleados y miembros de las organizaciones para que apliquen mejores prácticas de seguridad y capacitarlos para detectar posibles riesgos de seguridad es fundamental para prevenir ataques de phishing y ransomware.
Las soluciones de Gestión de Movilidad Empresarial, EMM en sus siglas en inglés, como HMD Enable Pro, pueden mitigar el riesgo para los empleados que utilizan dispositivos tanto para el trabajo y como para uso personal. Pero, dado que el error humano representa el el 95% de los ciberataques que tienen éxito, reducir la brecha de conocimientos es una prioridad importante. Como cada vez se utilizan más smartphones para trabajar, asegurarse de que están equipados con las aplicaciones adecuadas y las políticas de seguridad correctas ayuda tanto a la eficiencia como al despliegue de las mejores medidas de seguridad para la empresa. Una solución eficaz de gestión de la movilidad empresarial (EMM) lo permite. Como los casos de uso y las necesidades de cada empresa varían, la EMM ideal debe ser una que admita todos los tipos de políticas disponibles (perfil de trabajo, totalmente gestionado, etc.), de modo que una solución EMM pueda atender a toda la flota de dispositivos Android, y que proporcione los detalles necesarios de los dispositivos desplegados de un vistazo. Una solución EMM flexible y sencilla, con una reputación de confianza, puede llevar muy lejos la política de seguridad de las compañías.
Cuando se descubre una vulnerabilidad potencial, las noticias viajan con rapidez, especialmente si dicha vulnerabilidad se considera de naturaleza crítica. En estos casos, es muy humano querer que el problema se solucione lo más rápido posible. Por ello, las empresas están eligiendo smartphones que incorporan una promesa clara y consistente de actualizaciones de seguridad mensuales.
Los dispositivos que se actualizan constantemente para hacer frente a las amenazas más recientes tampoco necesitan ser reemplazados con tanta frecuencia. Esto proporciona durabilidad y longevidad también para conseguir una sostenibilidad más rentable, un elemento cada vez más importante tanto para un proveedor de atención médica con un presupuesto reducido como para una empresa global que cumple con todos los KPI de sostenibilidad, por ejemplo.
Una estrategia de ciberseguridad que tenga en cuenta estos tres elementos puede mantener a su organización más segura en el actual y cambiante mundo profesional híbrido.
