Un estudio de Sophos pone de relieve que hasta el 88% de los encuestados ha evolucionado sus hábitos frente a las ciberamenazas.
La pandemia de la COVID-19 ha puesto al usuario, más si cabe, en el centro de la seguridad de las compañías. El teletrabajo masivo le ha obligado a hacerse cargo de su seguridad y a enfrentarse a los posibles riesgos desde su hogar. Además, y teniendo en cuenta que el número de ciberataques ha repuntado, sobre todo en las grandes empresas, la mayoría de los empleados españoles reconoce haber tomado una mayor concienciación respecto a su seguridad. Hasta el 88% afirma haber introducido cambios respecto a su protección, según un estudio de Sophos.
Y, es que, la percepción del aumento de la vulnerabilidad frente a las ciberamenazas también ha repuntado. Este hecho se ve reflejado en datos como que el 30% de los encuestados afirma haber sufrido un incidente desde que comenzó la crisis, cifra que asciende al 50% en el caso de las personas que teletrabajan. En este caso, los ataques de phishing son los más comunes en el caso de la actividad en remoto (ocupan hasta un 30% del total).
Entre los nuevos hábitos, el 47% de los preguntados aplica actualizaciones de seguridad con mayor regularidad; y el 45% cambia asiduamente sus contraseñas. Asimismo, el 34% realiza copias de seguridad regulares, y el 31% protege los dispositivos empresariales evitando que sean utilizados por personas ajenas a su empresa.
En cuanto a las compañías, el 94% cree que estas han reforzado su seguridad con el teletrabajo que van más allá de desplegar los dispositivos y las conexiones necesarias para operar a distancia. Entre los principales protocolos adoptados por las organizaciones se encuentran la instalación de antivirus de nueva generación, las actualizaciones de seguridad y el refuerzo de las conexiones remotas. Otra de las medidas ha sido el establecimiento de teléfonos de contacto directo con el departamento de TI. Pero, a pesar de estos esfuerzos, uno de cada cuatro encuestados considera que su empresa no cuenta con las medidas suficientes para un teletrabajo seguro. El punto de mayor debilidad continúa siendo el usuario, que a menudo es el punto de entrada de los ciberdelincuentes. Un 12% asegura que no sabría cómo actuar o simplemente no haría nada y esperaría a que pasase si se viera implicado en un incidente.
En esta línea, la formación en ciberseguridad continúa siendo una tarea pendiente tanto para los usuarios como para las empresas. Un 71,5% dice no haber recibido ningún tipo de formación. Lo mismo se observa en las empresas, ya que solo en el 19% de los casos se ofrecen programas de este tipo a los empleados.
