En una visita a la sede del organismo en León, la vicepresidenta segunda del Gobierno ha reafirmado la necesidad de redoblar la ciberseguridad de los agentes públicos y privados para garantizar la transformación digital y acelerar la salida de la crisis.
La ministra de Asuntos Económicos y Transformación Digital de España y actual vicepresidenta segunda del Gobierno, Nadia Calviño, ha destacado hoy el valor de la ciberseguridad y de su principal organismo público en el país, Incibe (Instituto Nacional de Ciberseguridad), como pilares fundamentales de la trasformación digital y de la “confianza de la ciudadanía” en un mundo en el que las nuevas tecnologías “tienen un papel muy importante en la dinamización de la economía”. La dirigente ha aprovechado su visita a la sede del Instituto en León para reafirmar el “rol necesario para el futuro” de la organización en un escenario en el que un tercio de los fondos de recuperación –aproximadamente 20.000 millones de euros– que la Unión Europea (UE) destina a cada país, se dedicará al impulso de la digitalización con un carácter “transversal; desde el asentamiento de la nueva economía de las ciudades hasta la reforma integral de las administraciones públicas”.
De este modo, ha señalado, “Incibe desarrolla una actividad con un impacto muy importante a nivel local y de país, influyendo sobre empresas y dando oportunidades a jóvenes talentos. Además, genera confianza, un aspecto clave tanto en la protección de datos personales, en el derecho a la intimidad, y en el funcionamiento de las redes para evitar ataques, que ponen de manifiesto la vulnerabilidad de los sistemas si no hacemos un potente esfuerzo de protección y de colaboración en los ámbitos públicos y privados”. Desde que se iniciase la pandemia de la COVID-19 en marzo de 2020, el organismo ha realizado más de 150.000 intervenciones.
En los últimos meses, y tras el ciberataque al SEPE (Servicio Público de Empleo Estatal) que le dejó sin cobertura informática durante más de una semana, el Gobierno ha puesto el acento en legislar este segmento, anunciando un Plan de Choque de Ciberseguridad para dotar de herramientas al sector público ante las amenazas, y la implantación de un Centro de Operaciones de Ciberseguridad de la Administración General del Estado y sus Organismos Públicos (COCS). A este respecto, Calviño ha reseñado “la importancia de reforzar la seguridad de los agentes públicos y su interconexión con las empresas privadas”.
Asimismo, en esta era de la conectividad, la política ha asegurado que “el despliegue y la seguridad de 5G son los ejes fundamentales de la digitalización. España quiere estar a la vanguardia, estamos acelerando el proceso de licitación de las redes para superar esta última milla y llegar a todos los ciudadanos, sin exclusiones”. Por otra parte, Calviño cree clave la protección en el impulso de las pymes y los autónomos y en el desarrollo de otras tecnologías capitales como la inteligencia artificial (IA). “Incibe es parte fundamental en el impulso de España como hub de innovación europeo y de concienciación y formación en competencias digitales”, ha dicho.
Por último, la vicepresidenta ha lamentado que finalmente León no ganara la candidatura para acoger el Centro Europeo de Ciberseguridad –la elegida fue Bucarest–; “pero continuamos con el objetivo de posicionarnos en el mapa de la seguridad europea. Toda la labor de Incibe es imprescindible para salir de la crisis lo antes y lo mejor posible y que la transformación digital sea uno de los vectores de modernización del país”.
