Que la transformación digital es un hecho imparable lo demuestra que un 67% de las empresas españolas ya ha empezado a incorporar la transformación digital en su negocio, mientras un 18% ya ha generado servicios disruptivos. Con esta declaración, Jorge Gil, director general de IDC Research España, cerraba el encuentro Predictions Mid Year, cuyo objetivo ha sido repasar las principales tendencias TI en el ámbito empresarial y presentar el primer Informe Indicadores Digitales en la empresa del mercado.
Así, Jose Antonio Cano, director de Análisis de la consultora comentó la evolución del gasto de TI en España que en 2018 alcanzará la cifra de 49,5 mil millones de euros. Según IDC Research España el crecimiento más significativo del gasto se aprecia en el proceso de digitalización en las organizaciones y en la demanda de software como servicio. “Por tanto, se confirma la tendencia alcista del gasto en transformación digital en Europa del 18% hasta 2021 y que al al menos el 40% del PIB europeo estará digitalizado en 2021”, explica Cano.
De acuerdo con los datos manejados por la consultora tecnológica, en el caso de los dispositivos, los teléfonos básicos y los PC tradicionales van a sufrir caídas en sus ventas tanto este año como en el acumulado hasta 2021. Las tablets van a tener un comportamiento prácticamente plano y se puede afirmar que el mercado de terminales se encuentra saturado en el ámbito empresarial, que tiende hacia dispositivos tipo ‘surface’.
“Es evidente que los segmentos que más crecen son los que ayudan a las empresas en su digitalización. Otra fuente importante de presión para acelerar los viajes de transformación digital vendrá por parte de los inversores” constata José Antonio Cano.
Indicadores clave del éxito digital
A lo largo del último año, IDC Research España ha identificado tres indicadores clave del éxito digital: el grado de utilización de las plataformas digitales, el valor de los datos y las métricas de participación del cliente.
Como consecuencia, la firma pronostica que en 2019 el 60% de las organizaciones contará con una estructura de liderazgo digital lo que supondrá que se pongan en marcha nuevos KPIs, nuevos modos de monetizar los datos y por tanto generar nuevos ingresos digitales.
Un segundo hito relevante que se producirá en 2020 será que la mitad del gasto tecnológico empresarial estará relacionado con los datos, confirmando la existencia de una demanda muy significativa de soluciones que permitan a las empresas extraer valor del activo de mayor potencial que poseen hoy: sus datos.
Impacto de la GDPR en la ciberseguridad
La Seguridad y la Analítica se mantienen en el punto de mira de las empresas. La ciberseguridad sigue su senda alcista hasta alcanzar los 1.254 millones de euros en España con un crecimiento del 8,9% a finales de 2018. Entre los factores de este aumento destaca sin duda la aplicación de la GDPR que ha impulsado la inversión en seguridad en torno al dato hasta los 312,49M€.
Realidad Aumentada y Virtual y Blockchain confirman la tendencia alcista
De acuerdo con IDC Research España, el 50% de las grandes empresas europeas habrán puesto en marcha una estrategia de realidad aumentada y/o realidad virtual en 2020. Hasta la fecha, e gasto en Realidad Virtual y Aumentada se ha concentrado en el sector consumo. No obstante, esta situación va a cambiar ya que en 2019 el gasto empresarial en AR/VR superará el gasto del consumidor.
En cuanto a Blockchain, el 50% de las grandes compañías europeas lo probarán a nivel departamental, pero menos del 10% desarrollará producto en 2018. Las tres áreas en las que IDC prevé mayor impacto son industria, comercio minorista y servicios financieros. Es en este último sector donde hay proyectos más avanzados.
Falta de talento digital
El 25% de las empresas reconoce que el personal no tiene las habilidades digitales necesarias para acometer con garantías el proceso de transformación digital.
A medida que una organización se vuelve más digital, va a requerir de competencias que actualmente no tiene para afrontar con garantías el proceso de digitalización. Desde analistas de datos, que puede ser el ejemplo más ilustrativo, hasta aquellas competencias clave que serán requeridas para afrontar un cambio organizativo y/o de modelo de negocio.
